I have a 97 suzuki gsxr 1100. It will start but as you give it gass it either dies or losses power. I had the carbs cleaned and the shop said they couldn't sync them and said the top end needed to be rebuilt. But the bike only has a little over 7500 miles on it. I have no faith in the shop i went to. Any thoughts or do i just need to rebuild the top end.
Yer agree with your 1st solution...the shop sound like they dont know what there on about....it sounds like the crabs need cleaning out..ie the jets!!..are you sure the shop took the carbs off??...as these can be real akward to get off.....& put back on....ask your mates of a good bikeshop they can recomend....
Rebuild the top end? Run screaming from that shop. The fact that they said they couldn't sync the carbs should have been your first clue. I would have been suggesting a fuel problem anyway but take it to a shop that knows what it's doing and you should be fine but you will probably have to replace th spark plugs because of the fuel problem.
