I own a S50 and the engine will not start unless I hold the choke out manually way past what it will do on its own. As you can imagine this makes it very, very hard to do since the clutch and the choke are on the same side of the bike. I need to adjust the choke? if so, how do you do this?

Follow the choke cable down to the intake and see where the bracket is holding it, make sure it is adjusted correctly so when off there is no play. See if there is a spring on the choke, if there is you might need to remove it or get a less tight one, it has probably been swapped out at some stage. If removing the spring check you can manually return the choke before riding, if it can't be returned manually then replace the spring. You possible need a new choke cable

Check the main jet and make sure it isn't clogged. the main jet is the nut that holds the float bowl in place. one horizontal hole thru and thru and a connecting vertical hole. flush with carburetor cleaner. If that isn't the problem then the Thermal choke is not working. to check you need to remove the hood (2 screws) the engine cover (3 shoulder bolts) on starter recoil assembly and one shoulder bolt on oil filler tube and rotate tube. Now remove 4 1/4" bolts holding on engine housing cover. The bolt holding the gas tank can be loosened and the tank rolled out of the way. Look for the long arm extending from the carburetor choke across the engine to the thermal choke spring assembly. The thermal spring assembly is held in place by the muffler. there should be some spring tension of this unit is moved it should push the choke closed when the engine is cold and hold the choke open if the engine is hot.

Why is it hard to start my Mercruiser 7.4L MPI after a hot run?

Electric choke? Try retrofitting a manual choke. I think the electric choke is closing over a hot engine, thinking that the engine's cooler than it really is. A manual choke will allow you to start it with no choke at all when you know the motor's already warmed up.

Choke problem

Replace the chock thermostat. When the engine is cold, the choke is in closed position to restrict airflow and give rich fuel mixture to combustion chamber. As engine area warms up, the choke thermostat gradually opens air passage to increase air flow to combustion chamber, resulting in leaner fuel mixture. The choke is in "full open" while the engine is cold, resulting in lean mixture, causing the engine to die unless you add more throttle to increase fuel mixture.

How do you start the suzuki s50 800 boulevard

On a cold engine, pull the choke out, turn the key on & hit the starter button. After it fires up, slowly push the choke in. After the engine is warm, no choke is needed for restarts,

Sirius S50 "No channels available"

I had the exact same problem happen to me yesterday with my S50. My guess is that the software got corrupted somehow. I fixed mine last night be reinstalling S50 software via USB cable to my PC. Note: You need My Sirius Studio application loaded on your PC. Be sure to press Exit button on My Sirius Software Ap after you reinstall S/W. Patiently wait for S50 to 100% complete before disconnecting. Then, manually turn on S50 (while holding in your hand); do NOT put in car/home dock yet. S50 will then update S/W. When this completes, now you can put in dock. I don't exactly recall, but I think the S50 indicated the dock was being updated, then it defaulted to channel 184 indicating to call Sirius to subscribe. Since I already have a subscription in place on my S50, I just pressed channel 2 (The Blend) from my remote, and then my S50 began updating all channels. Success! I'm so happy my S50 is now working again! Good luck to others experiencing same problem; hope this helps! I can only imagine the frustration trying to get help from Sirius folks for this type of problem...

Bike has been standing for 18 months without the engine being spun. Bike will not start without choke. when choke is off engine stalls

You need to completely drain and refill the gas - the gas you have is stale and doesn't have enough power to run the bike.
The battery needs to be fully charged - not just jump started. It wouldn't hurt to do an oil and filter change as well as a air filter and plug change.
