Hi, i was wondering how i would go about adjusting the pedal position on my 91 ZXR250? It sits a little high and my foot is touching it when in a cruising position. I would hopefully like to move it down slightly... Any suggestions?

Yeah i wanna move the rear brake pedal down a few mm so my foot can sit comfortably without it touching the brakes...

88 suzuki Samari I replaced RR and LR tail lights housing. (New)blinkers work break lights work also.when I take foot off break pedal the break lights stay on and parking light and break light.Help

Their is switch the brake switch its on the brake pedal up high .
It sounds like its working because the lights work .
However it dose have an adjustment on most of them ware you can move the switch in or out so it olny makes contact when you touch the pedal with your foot .
This sounds like you need to back the contact out a little its a nut 1/2 turn should do it .
Its usely vary simple take a look at it even if you need to replace it it is an 88 its inexpensive and not hard to do .

Harley davidson shift linkage adjustment

So, I take it you want to adjust the shift linkage and not the height of the foot pedal.

To adjust the shift linkage and not the height of the foot pedal the shifter arm should be tight on the shifter shaft that goes into the transmission behind the primary inner case. The Shifter arm should be positioned with the top end just rear ward of the top transmission cover bolt, positioned there by its placement/orientation on the shifter shaft which is itself positioned by the shifter pawl and spring inside the transmission itself. With all of these components in place as they should be the shift linkage runs from the top of the shifter arm to the front of the bike and the shifter pedal shaft arm. To adjust the length of this shifter rod you will either loosen the lock nut and remove the bolt/threaded shaft on one end of the shifter rod and then loosen the locking nut on the rod at one end (or both ends) of the rod and turn it to lengthen or shorten (increase or decrease) the rod length on one or both ends of the linkage rod until you get it where it just fits into the shifter arm hole(s) again with the pedal sitting where you want it be, re-install all hardware and tighten all hardware etc. If you want the pedal height above a floorboard or if you otherwise just want to adjust the pedal height/position you would not adjust the shifter rod linkage but would loosen and remove the pedal arm and re-position it where you want it and then re-install it and tighten its hardware again etc. Of course you could adjust the pedal height in a small increment by adjusting the shifter linkage if the placement on the pedal rod serrations does not align the pedal close enough to the precise location you want it to be at.

I am in need of help. For some reason my brake lights come on all by themselves. The car will be sitting in park, not on and the lights just come on. I have to go and hit the brake petal to get them to...

check brake light switch where the brake pedal arm is.the brake light switch is loose or broken.or bracket holding brake light switch is loose or broken fell out of position. the brake light switch suppose to be touching the brake pedal arm to turn off brake lights.if switch not touching pedal arm.switch is broken,if brake switch touching brake pedal arm,and brake lights still on.replace brake light switch.

My machine gergles and then the needle starts to vivbrate back and forth without touching the pedal. It seems like it starts doing this after it is on for a while.

The foot/knee control is hanging in the 'on' position slightly. Look for an adjustment screw on the control, something that will let you set the pedal position. Try to adjust it so as to have a tiny dead spot at the beginning of the pedal travel, so that you actually have to move the pedal a little before the machine starts.

I HAVE AN ADJUSTABLE CLUTCH ON MY 91 MUSTANG AND WHEN I LET OUT THE CLUTCH THE CAR REVS HIGH AND TAKES A MINUTE TO GO DO YOU KNOW WHAT CAN BE CAUSING THIS?

Sounds to me like the clutch disc is shot. Make sure there is a little bit of play in the pedal at the top of travel. If you put your foot on the pedal and there isn't any play at the top then the clutch may not be engaging all the way (and you may have burned up the clutch from the slippage). Good Luck,...ZMANRACING663a3f6.jpg

2002 Civic Dx Clutch?

i have just replaced an 03 civic ex clutch and transmission bearings due to a customer being too harsh on it. It sounds like its got a little life left in it if you are easy on it.

if there is adjustment in this model use the below walkthrough to adjust it.

adjust the clutch pedal,

1. if you look up on the top of the clutch pedal, the first thing you should see if a clutch pedal position switch, and right behind it there is a locknut, looens the locknut. once you loosen it, back off on the pedal position switch or adjusting bolt untill it no longer touches the clutch pedal.

2. now behind the clutch pedal, there is a pushrod. and on that pushrod, there is a locknut, loosen that locknut. Now turn the pushrod in or out to get the desired height and stroke at the clutch pedal.

The freeplay is the amount of push on the clutch pedal to where is starts to have resistance from the top. I have usually been told it should be set at 1 1/2-2 inches of freeplay.

Once you set it, tighten the locknut on the pushrod. With the clutch pedal released, turn in the clutch pedal position switch untill it contacts the clutch pedal. then turn it an additional 3/4 to 1 turn. And tighten the locknut.

Now on top of the clutch pedal switch, there is a clutch interlock switch. Loosen the locknut on that switch. then press the clutch pedal to the floor.

release the clutch pedal 15-20 mm (0.59-0.79 in) from the fully pressed position, and hold it there. adjust the position of the clutch interlock switch so the engine will start with the clutch pedal in this position. then tighten the locknut on that switch.

Hope this helps
