Ran fine and now keeps cutting out. Has RAC out on Sataurday and they got it started again but it wont fire up now.
You need a quality manual. Google it and search, you should find one some where on the web.
Now I will run you through the basics. Firstly check you battery terminals to make sure they are clean and connecting. Next, check that your battery is OK, easy if you have a multi-meter, but if you havent then just put it on the charger for at least 6 hours and see if it improves things. Now if you are still in doggie doo doo then it is time to get it to an Auto-electrician and get them to give it a test, generally done as a freebie. If they tell you that you electrics are all hunky dorry then it needs a tune up. I am not sure what your bike requires in that area but your manual should tell you. If you are not confident to do it, then take it to a qualified bike mechanic, or even to a Kymco Dealer
I’ve been having the same problem. Intermittently cut out over a one month period then one night cut out every 10 metres. Wouldn’t restart unless I turned the key off then on (kill switch off and on didn’t work), then go another 10m and so on. Serviced a few weeks before this, fuel filter and carby cleaned, spark plug replaced etc. Back in the shop now, they’ve checked the choke – it’s OK. Replaced the coil – no difference. .They’re lost for ideas, I think they’ve even emptied all fuel and cleaned out but no good.
