Location of chassis number of Honda Wave 100
Locate the 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) printed on the frame of your Honda motorcycle. This is often stamped onto the right side of the steering head, where the front fork is mounted on the frame. The VIN is also imprinted on a metal tag located on the left side of the frame above the motor.
sounds like a chassis number
the vin plate may be in the door opening on a door pillar
take the chassis number to a service dealer and they should be able to track it back to a vin number and build date
The vin number commonly known as the frame or chassis number can be found on the front tube of the frame, headstock to the righthand siide at this point the steering yoke is affixed, if this is a uk bike the vin plate should be on the righthand of the frame also, close to your. Right knee when you sit on the bike, but the number on this plate is the same as the one found on the frame, the engine number is located also on the right hand side ontop of the crackcase just above the clutch cover, all of this information can be found on the log book, or registration doc if you have one hope this helps
The chassis number(s) will not give the year of the bikes. The engine number(s) will give the year and location made of the engine only. This information would have to be obtained from the manufacturer.
The only way to determine the year of the bike(s) is to use the VIN number. The VIN number is 17 characters long and is usually located on the front of the frame.
This site, VIN Look-up, will give you all the information you need on your bikes.
Hope this helps and if you find this post useful, please vote. Thank You.
Hi try your local dealer & you should never ever post chassis numbers over the internet!
Because they can be used to steal & rebirth vehicles! ok
Cheers Rob
Short answer is no. The VIN number is usually on a small plate attached to main chassis, often on the side of the bike. The Chassis number is usually found stamped/etched into the chassis on or around the steering pipe (the forward most point of the actual chassis frame). This can be hard to see but it should be there. The Engine number is often found stamped/etched into the top of the bottom end of the engine, Sometimes near the oil cap.
