Where do i drain engine oil on a xv 1600 and what is the oil capacity

U need a clymer or haynes book for total svc&rebuild. Also utube/pinterest has info

3.7 litres no cartridge change
4.1 litres with change
5.0 total from dry

2013 Softail
a. Use 3.5 quarts (3.31 liters) of engine oil for a wet
capacity refill.
b. Use 4.0 quarts (3.79 liters) for a dry capacity refill.
NOTE
Use wet capacity values for engines that have just had
the oil drained. Use dry capacity values for engines that
have been disassembled, cleaned in solvent and dried.

2013 DYNA
a. Use 2.5 qt (2.4 L) of engine oil for a wet capacity refill.
b. Use 3.0 qt (2.7 L) for a dry capacity refill.

2013 Touring
Initially add 3.0 quarts (2.8 liters) of engine oil

2013 VRSC
Oil capacity with filter 5.0 qt 4.7 L

The 6 or 8 bolts come out and the strainer drops down.
You can buy a kit with the center bolt.

Just a bit over 3 quarts(w/filter change) 20/40w oil,200cc of 80/90gear oil for the rear(i prefer the Yamaha brand) also recomment new drain washers 214-1198-01-00

There is a site glass on the side of the engine,Just fill to half way on site glass,usually has a marker line.
