t For engines with standing oil filter the oil filter must be renewed before changing the engine oil. When removing the filter element a valve is opened, the oil in the filter housing automatically flows into crankcase. t If the engine oil is drained and not extracted with an oil extractor, replace drain plug. This prevents leaks. t Observe disposal regulations! - Extract engine oil using used oil collection and extraction unit -V.A.G 1782-. or - Remove oil drain plug. - Let engine oil drain. > Note

How much oil in a 2012 fat boy low ?

2013 Softail
a. Use 3.5 quarts (3.31 liters) of engine oil for a wet
capacity refill.
b. Use 4.0 quarts (3.79 liters) for a dry capacity refill.
NOTE
Use wet capacity values for engines that have just had
the oil drained. Use dry capacity values for engines that
have been disassembled, cleaned in solvent and dried.

2013 DYNA
a. Use 2.5 qt (2.4 L) of engine oil for a wet capacity refill.
b. Use 3.0 qt (2.7 L) for a dry capacity refill.

Just a bit over 3 quarts(w/filter change) 20/40w oil,200cc of 80/90gear oil for the rear(i prefer the Yamaha brand) also recomment new drain washers 214-1198-01-00
