I have a 2003 yamaha vstar 650. When it runs it back-firers spits and sputters then cuts off. then it runs great for a while then does the same thing. I took it to a machanic, it ran fine and it did it all over again and now it wont start. HELP!

This can happen if you used the wrong oil. Is the clutch cable or hydraulic operation. If cable then it may be dry or adjusted too much (needs a little free play at the lever. Not sure of your knowledge so starting with the basics. How many Kms has it done.
