Go to http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp , for a freebie manual. My advice is you would be far better taking it to an auto-electrician for the electrical work, but you should be able to take the starter out and replace it yourself. Starters are complex, and have it fully checked out first, the problem could be the battery or even the alternator is not charging properly.

How do i test a starter solenoid on my ninja 250

I normally put a screwdriver between the terminals on the solenoid to see if it starts. If it does The second thing to do is listen for a click in the solenoid when pressing the start button. If it does but doesn't turn the starter then it's the solinoid at fault not the starter button. If you get nothing when connecting the terminals it's proberly the starter motor or connections.

Someone stole the keys to my 96 zx6 and i want to know how to start it without changing the ignition

Assuming the bike is yours to ride, you could, simply remove the ignition switch, unscrew the plastic lower and separate the switch from the lock and then turn the the centre of the switch with a screwdriver until the ignition lights up, when the lock is removed take it and have a new key cut.

I have zx6r that wont start changed battery for new but all i get is a clicking sound. any ideas

Follow the large wire from the positive pole on the battery to a small relay with two large wires on it.
That is the starter solenoid, jump from one off the post to the other big post on the solenoid and see if the
starter works. IT WILL SPARK when you jump it use a big wire.
If starter works then 99% sure solenoid is bad.
