I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4. My right rear brake light does not come on, but the left does. I changed out the bulbs and it worked when I had someone mash the brakes, but after installing the unit in place, it failed to work. What's the problem and what do I have to do?

The problem is the metal contacts inside the lense itself, the socket make contact with the little metal tabs, bent mine out a hair or 2 ,and never had another problem with the brake light not working on my drivers side.

If i remember correctly the sockets on the rear lights go bad. you may have to get a new socket assembly. A local dealer should have them in stock. I don't think they are too expensive and if you can change the light you can replace the socket. Maybe a phillips head or torx for the bolts.

How can i use the 4 x 4 in my 2000 grand cherokee laredo (6 cyl) i dont have the owners manual and i dont know how to use my 4x4 on snow or something like that

With the Jeep in park, move the left shifter to 4 wheel drive. Proceed to put right shifter into drive, proceed to drive. Only use 4wheel drive when neccessary...ie...snow, mud, use 4 wheel lo in steep incline or when really bogged down.

Hope this helps

Back right light is out

Well. The rear brake light go out is a command problem for the 99-04 Jeep WJ. I personally think there is a short somewhere from the factory design.

2000 jeep grand cherokee laredo has scrubbing noise coming from rear of vehicle and park brake does not engage

It sounds as though you have a frozen emergency brake cable. This usually will wear down the rear brake shoes to a point where they are metal to metal. Get them fixed asap.

Brake pads specifications

I just searched google and looked at JC Whitney. They have brake parts and ship internationally. (don't know cost) But it's worth looking into!

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, and I am experiencing no turn signals or flashers. I have replaced the fuses, but still have nothing. What do you think the problem could be?

Had similar problem when i bought my 2000 jeep ch. laredo,I had to bend the metal contacts up on the rear lights where u pull out the bulbs, also cleaned them up with sandpaper, only one bulb was not making contact and so none of my rear lights worked prop.buying new light essembly would also work.
