I have a suzuki intruder vl 125 and recently when waiting at a junction the engine has just died i have to keep the revs up to avoid stalling. also sometimes whilst moving the engine sounds like it dies. any idea where to purchase an exhaust for this model.

The stalling is due to the rectifier (its a box under the plastics on the bike and has fins on it) if not this then possibly an air/fuel mixture problem but as with my old vl it was the rectifier

Before chasing down carb solutions, get your choke mechanism checked, they have a tendancy to get stuck slightly on just enough to cause problems after a few miles (ie stalling when idling and stutering power). If this doesn't help then go for the carb check

2000 Suzuki VL 125 Intruder "No Power"

Check if you have gas?, see if the fuse is shot, should be on the bottom side of the gas tank, could be just a faulty spark plug, worse case scenario the pulse coil is shot or the stator

Engine turns over / Petrol OK/ No Spark

as with any problem you need a clymer book for your bike or you can disconnect the wiring harness(all of them one at a time)turn the key on and use a volt meter to make sure you are getting power.does the engine turn over?

Lack of power and low revs

Remove and clean the carbs. Remove and clean the fuel petcock water trap then put everything back together. Try the bike now.
If still bad then take it to the shop and ask for a compression check. You may have some burned valves.
