SOURCE: starting problem on rs125

Based on your description, its sounds as though you have a starter or starter selnoid problem. The starter selnoid is not engaging the engine at first and then when it does, is nort passing enough current through to the starter motor to get the job done.

SOURCE: 2006 Aprilia RS125 doesnt start

Hi .... Try switching the petrol off just prior to stopping the engine and start up again with the petrol OFF. There's enough petrol in the carb to start the bike. A good battery should show over 12 volts. Take the plugs out and give them a good clean or replace them. Is there a petrul pump fitted ? A two stroke needs to be ridden quite hard to maintain efficeincy, higher revs etc ........ let us know how you get on ?

You need 3 things for it to start: Compression, fuel and spark.

1. First and easiest thing to check for is spark. Pull one plug and connect the lead to the top. Rest the plug against the head to ground it. In your garage (or somewhere where it is somewhat dark) turn on the ignition and crank it for a few seconds while looking at the plug. You should see a bright blue spark.

2. If that checks out, and you can get a hold of a compression tester check that. We can probably assume you have sufficient compression in at least a couple of cylinders.

3. Next is gas. If it has been sitting for some time, (A) the carb passages could be gummed up. Or (B) the petcock screen could be plugged, not allowing fuel to reach the carbs. This happens to my bike about once a year. Or the floats could be out of adjustment, unlikely. With the petcock in the on position, open one of the drain screws on one of the carbs to be sure fuel is reaching them.

One last possibility is that your rectifier has gone bad. when was the last time you rode the bike?

Replace battery in Acumen heart monitor watch

Important: remember the position of removed items.
Remove the four small screws on the back of the watch. I used a screwdriver designed for replacing screws in eye glasses.
Observe the position then lift the cover and take care to carefully remove the O-ring.
Observe the position then lift the case holding the battery.
Remove the battery again observe the position.
Replace battery, case holding battery, O-ring, cover and screws.
Your watch should how have power. Best wishes.

Dear all, I've bought a cat 2/1 alarm and was told by a friend that the alarm will plug straight into a socket somewhere on the bike. I've lifted the seat and there are two plugs there but they don't fit...

Hi i fit another make of alarm, you may need to buy a bike specific loom from acumen, or hard wire it...( the plugs you have found are used by the dealers for diagnostic plugins like re seting error codes, do not remove these plugs)

I believe that the alarm system in the car is draining the battery also causing the car not to start.....I want to disconnect the alarm system or disarm it but cannot locate the valet switch...my friend...

This sounds like a factory alarm, so it is unlikely that it is draining the battery. Much more common is alternator diodes. diagnosis is pretty easy for a shop, consider using one for this issue.

Viper Car Alarm problem

My initial thought is the alarm somehow drained the battery down so low that there's not enough power to even turn on the LED or start the car. If that's the case, getting a jump from another vehicle should at least let you disarm the alarm and start the car.

Beyond that, you'll probably need to reference the manual for your model alarm. You can find the manuals here.
