One 12 volt power supply, cable length 1.8m - 6?
Optional when ordering, 5m - 16½' power supply extension lead
Antenna cable with red plug
Antenna cable with black plug
Five plastic cable ties (1 spare)
One attachable black antenna plug
One attachable red antenna plug
Please Note: Ensure antennae cables do not come into contact with each other
The gap between the coils must be in excess of 60mm - 2½" no upper limit
Coils require a minimum of 50mm - 2? each side of uninterrupted straight pipe
Direction of coils is essential - see over
Ideally a 125mm + (5?+) straight run of pipe is required for each antenna coil
Direction of Water Flow is immaterial
Connect red plugs to red sockets and black to black
Scale Manager is effective on all pipes (copper, plastic, lead, steel etc)
Performance is not impaired if the pipe is painted
The Control Unit can be fitted at any angle or plane
A 13-amp socket is required for the power supply
The ideal location to install Scale Manager is near the entry point of the rising main, before any junctions. The antennae coils operate independently and can be positioned on separate pipes should you not have an uninterrupted pipe run of 250mm - 10?. Should the inlet pipe T off within 125mm - 10? of the stopcock, position the coils as fig 1 overleaf. If the inlet pipe available is over 125mm - 5? but under 250mm - 10? position as fig 2 overleaf.
The antennae coils require a minimum gap between them of 50mm - 2?. It is also necessary that the coils are at least 40mm -1½" from elbows and junctions.
Check for ignition problems. Points -if you have them. distributor cap--water or dew- water on plug leads failed coil. The problem should be there somewhere.
first two are stater wires, red is positive, black wire. it will probley be going to a orange wire. the other wire from coil is the kil wire going to ground to your switch
The wire that comes from your distributor hooks up to the Negative side of the coil. The other wire should be a switched positive that hooks up to the Positive side of the coil. It should be hot only when the key is ON or Start.
The coils primary circuit terms. should be labeled "+" and "-". With key on check for 12v @ wire to "coil +" and "coil -" grounds through points. When ground's removed (points open) magnetic field collapses inducing high voltage (spark) in "secondary" circuit.
Red is positive, Black Negative, if its dual voice coil, then run a lead from the red to red, and black to black on the sub terminals then run your speaker wires off one of the two sets of connections, (the red and blacks) you connected the leads to and run that to your box or enclosure and to the amp from there.
Locate & route Black lead to ground / 2004-later softail: On the frame strap under the seat directly in front of the battery.
Locate & route the pink lead to Signal / For 2004 & later FXST/C/I The #3 cavity in the connector {39b} on the back of the speedometer. The socket terminal on the signal (pk) lead fits the #3 cavity.
Locate & route the Orange and white lead to power / Ummm.. it's saying for 2004 and later to adapt to the fuse block For earlier [ For 1996 to 2003 softail: locate the power lead (o/w) in the tail lamp pin connector {7a} under the seat behind the right rear corner of he battery.] "here you are looking to run it to a fused line, not directly to power/battery" I hope this helped.
