It just like you said...you'll have to take the tank, seat, and fairings back off and search everywhere for them..they'll be there, unless someone cut them off.....you might have to put in some extra time start at the rear and work forward..hope you find them.

Will not run without choke 1997 Suzuki GSF 1200 Bandit S

Hello, bike not running off of choke is an indication that the pilot circuit in the carbs is plugged.. the choke is a enriching circuit hence why it runs only with the choke on. When turned off the bike starves for fuel and dies. My guess is the bike has sat for longer than 4 months and the pilot jets are plugged from varnish... they will need to be removed and properly cleaned.

How to replace air filter suzuki 1200 gsf bandit

- Take the seat off.
- Unscrew the two bolts holding the back of the tank.
- Remove (unscrew) the petcock handle.
- Lift the back of the tank. I'm not sure the air filter can be accessed without removing the whole tank. If you have to remove it, it just slides back and up - there are no screws in the front of the tank. Pay attention not to disconnect the hoses/wires if you are just lifting the tank, or disconnect them all if you have to take the tank off.
- Unscrew and remove the battery cover if necessary.
- Unscrew the airbox cover (two screws in top corners).
- Pull the airbox cover back and remove it. It's held at the lower end by two plastic "teeth" - no screws.
- Remove the old filter and put in the new one.
- Put everything back in reverse order.

Refer to the microfiche above for parts layout. This is a simple procedure that shouldn't take more than 30 minutes even with tank removal.

I recently bought a suzuki bandit 400 for the mpg. The fuel tank was off and i can't seem to find where the lines go from the valve under the tank.

One hose will go to a vacuum source and the other to the fuel tap. The idea is that fuel will not run until the diaphram in the back of the Petcock is pulled back by vacuum. Prime the engine first and then swap over when the engine fires up.

Ive lost the manuel for my 2005 Suzuki GSF 650 Bandit k5. Is there somewhere i can download a free copy?

http://www.manualesdemecanica.com/en/service-manuals.html?func=fileinfo&id=603

"This manual contains an introductory description on the SUZUKI GSF650/S and procedures for its inspection/service and overhaul of its main components."

You need to register, but it's free. Don't know if they spam alot, but it might me a good idea to use some other e-mail account than your primary one.

Regards,
Chris
