The kickstand has some kind of safety switch, if the spring is not broke you should be able to snap it back on (with the kickstand up) and have someone to hold the bike or put it on a lift. It might take some muscle or take it to a dealer and I'm sure they can pop it back on. Hope this helps.

1500 Kawasaki Vulcan kick stand spring keeps coming off

Check for Up and Down play at end of kickstand. Usually these bikes will wear the kickstand mount on the Frame - wears like a half moon into it. At the same time it spreads out the Kickstand so that it can start flopping enough for the spring to come loose and fall off. To fix it - Replace kickstand, Spring, AND the Bolt. Then grind the Frame on the other side of the Half moon around the hole until it is LEVEL. Find a Washer (Stainless - .030 - .050 depending on how much you had to grind) and insert it between the Frame and the Kickstand. I have done DOZENS through the years and Never had to do it twice on the same bike. The Washer acts like a Bushing and prevents future wear. Good Luck!

How to replace the kickstand sensor switch on a 2007 kawasaki vulcan 900 cl

The kickstand sensor on these bikes is just a simple open/short module with a spring loaded switch to activate it. Replacing it is simply a matter of disconnecting the wiring, unbolting the old sensor, replacing the module, bolting it in, and connecting the wire.

2005 kawasaki 1600 vulcan nomad kickstand spring has fallen off due to galled and worn shoulder bolt (which fastens it to the frame). Also the cast metal piece that the kickstand (clevis) attaches to is...

Bummer on the problem. Would it be possible to add a spacer ( washer ), to kill the unwanted space? Any chance that pinching the end of the side stand closed a bit would tighten things up? Other than that, your idea is about all that is left other than a new frame. I suggest the new frame since they only cost $1350.00. Smile, only kidding.
