Not a big deal. Just remove the left engine cover and you will find the stator bolted to it. Remove the three bolts holding the stator and the stator will then be free to come apart from the cover.

No power to headlight 93 750 kaw vulcan light is good

More than likely it is your reserve lighting device, located on the right side of the battery box. also test battery voltage at rest, then start and recheck with a volt meter.at rest should be at 12 or a bit over, cranked should be at around 13 or 14, rev engine, you should be at 14 or more, had same issue on a 92' ended up being stator was going bad, and rectifier was replaced.

Bike wont charge 92 750

According to information I have found this model uses what is called a Stator to keep the battery charged. If you aren't knowledgeable about Stators, check this video out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWU2TbEePsY&feature=related

Is there a charging problem with the 96 Vulcan 750? I bought the bike and ever since I have had a hard time getting it to charge while driving. Is there some problem that is endemic to this bike? Bob

Sounds like u have a open cell in your battery , replace it , you said you had issues charging not lighting or running so this answer is based on the assumption there's voltage coming from stator is this accurate?

What do i need to remove, and how to replace a stator on a 1996 v7

The stator comes off with the right front side cover If I recall correctly. All you need is a set of metric wrenches.

Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?

Stator

Behind the left engine cover. The engine must be almost completely removed to change it out.
