No, because it may take some time for the oil to heat up and expand. Then, once this happens, the oil can begin to get whipped up by coming in contact with moving engine and transmission parts. Oil foaming can occur and over-run the crankcase ventilation system.

To help eliminate this problem, be sure to use the correct oil as recommended in the Honda owner's manual. Do not overfill the crankcase with oil. Change the oil and filter more frequently - especially after riding through deep water crossings.

If you suspect worn piston rings, check the spark plug for oil contamination and perform a cylinder compression and leak-down check.

About after a min of the bike running gas starts flowing into the air box, its alos getting into th oil

First check to see if the oil level in your crankcase is too high. If you have a vacuum petcock malfunction (hole in the diaphragm) or if the fuel petcock is left in the prime position and a float needle sticks, then you get you get gas running into the cylinders, past the rings, and into the oil.
When you start your motorcycle the oil/gas mixture has no place to go, the crankcase is too full, and the mixture exits through the crankcase breather into the air box where it will ruin a paper air filter. Always turn your fuel petcocks off when not driving. If the petcock diaphragms are bad rebuild the petcock with K&L rebuild kits or replace the fuel petcocks with new ones. If the float needles in the carburetors are bad or sticking, take the carburetors apart, clean them, and replace any worn or damaged parts You will have to change your gasoline saturated oil for it will no longer properly lubricate your motor.
Just a note: in 1983 brand new Honda's would fill there engines in gas. All the components were clean and new. This can happen to any machine in any condition at any time. When not riding always turn off the fuel vales never leave them in the prime position.

My 250 XR is blowing oil out of the gear box breather hose. how do i fix this problem

Hey, this happened to my ttr 225, i took it to the dealer and they said its because the rings are gone, so maybe your oil ring is gone i don`t know, but i had to replace my piston and get all new rings.
The only other thing that I can think of, would be a plugged oil filter or oil line, causing the crankcase pressure to increase. Drain the oil then remove all of the external oil lines and clean any filter screens in the lines. Replace the oil filter also. Put fresh oil back in and see how it runs.

If the problem persists take it to a dealer.

Good luck.

My bike is blowing oil out of the vent tube,

Hi
Either you have over filled the oil or the crankcase is pressurising due to blowing past the piston rings or valve seals

My subaru 97 impreza overheated on the freeway. I

If the water is flowing into the overflow tank then it is probably running a little hot. It is normal for a little bit to flow into if as the water heats and expands but there shouldn't be enough to overflow the tank. Have you tried changing the thermostat? If the thermostat isn't opening properly this will have all the effect in the world on how hot your engine runs.

So i was riding the bike it start to smoke then lost compression it does start doesnt make noise either its it just rings

The first thing to determine is: was the engine run with insufficient oil in the crankcase? Check the oil level. If the engine was run without enough oil in the crankcase, then you are in for more than just rings. Plan on reboring the cylinder, new piston and rings - and possibly camshaft and rocker arms. A teardown and inspection of the top end of the engine will be needed. If you are lucky, the bottom end will be okay.
If the engine wasn't run without oil, then make sure the valve tappet clearances are set correctly. If not properly adjusted, though it won't cause the engine to smoke, can cause it to lose compression.

What would cause too much oil in the crank case

you put too much oil in it
or the float in the carb is stuck open and it is really gas leaking by the piston rings and mixing with the oil in the crank case
smell the oil if it is gas in there dont try to start it until the carb is repaired and the oil changed
this could turn into a big problem if it ignites in the crank case
good luck

Oil leaking out of overflow

just check the crankcase filter to make sure it isn't stopped up if it is that will make the crankcase build up pressure and blow the oil out

Spitin oil and smoke

Oil is too full or scavenge pump is not pumping properly. Look down into the oil fill hole in the frame do you see oil flowing? If the oil is too full or the scavenge pump is not pumping then crankcase pressure is increased to the point where it starts blowing oil out of the vent into the airbox area... I would go with oil being too full. Drain the oil from the frame and engine and add 1 qt, perhaps a HAIR over, but not 1.5qts. 1.5qts is always too much for ours, I barely go over 1 qt. We have about 18 Dales in our group that we ride with, so we are used to seeing this.,,,
