Jumped my battery put post on wrong side no i have

Make sure you battery is fully charged before trying again. If it starts and drains again then you have an alternator that needs replaced. If it is fully charged and you still get nothing but a clicking then you need to replace the starter.

follow the thin red wire coming off the battery. you'll find the fuse right away

Sounds like one of the cables from the battery is bad. Could be corroded or worn or chewed in half.

You got a jump and it ran fine? It's your battery. The lights and radio are much easier for a battery to handle than spinning a car engine. Again, if all you needed was a jump, you have a bad battery.

I just got a jump from a friend and he put it on the wrong post now I have no power lights on

check all electrical connections between battery and starter both positive and ground, also check battery condition and charge, If the seloniod has three posts on it jump the positive side of the battery where it connects to selonoid across to the small center terminal of the selonoid and this will cause the electromagnetic unit to to send power to the starter, if this proves unsuccessfull, use a jumper cable to jump the battery 12v power directly to the large electrical terminal on the starter itself, this will spin the starter motor but might not engage the gear drive

your stator is shot.... NEVER EVER EVER jump a bike with a car/truck... Your stator is like a altenator(Face in palm)

i had the same same problem with my 1992 vulcan 750. more than likely it is your reserve lighting devive located on the right side battery box. have you had a problem with your regulator/rectifier lately or a power surge of some type?
