My honda shadow 600 vlx had been in the shop 3 time for the float sticking open. Should I try a different shop? I purchased the bike this summer and it only had 1100 miles on it. I've only put 1200 on this summer so it only has 2300 miles on it. The first time I took it in the gas tank needed coated for a rust problem. The fuel filter was changed and the carb cleaned. I didn't make it a mile down the road before the float stuck open and had to tow it back to the shop. The second time I took it the bike made it a month before it happened again. The last time I took it was July 21, 2009 and now it's doing it again. Gas flows out of the carb and down the bike to the ground and it will flood out and not get started sometimes. Last two times I did make it back to the shop even with gas flowing out of it. Should I try the same shop or choose a different one?
Keep eye on filter you may still have some rust in system
