No power I pulled the motor out of my truck to put a new crankshaft in it and then when i was finished i put the motor back in and hooked everything back up. now when i went to turn the key to turn the motor over, nothing happened except the battery light comes on. i can even pull the headlight switch and the headlights don't even work. its like there is no power. th dome light works though, but it shuts off when you turn the key to the "on" position. i can't figure out anything else to try.

You have probably missed re-connecting part of the electrical wiring- probably missed a ground connection..
Check you have re-connected:-
the main power supply via the fusible link (or in line maxifuse),
the battery negative terminal is correctly grounded to chassis/frame,
the motor ground connection to the chassis or battery negative.

I think you have little alternative other than to get a bit technical and take some voltage measurements at various points on the battery supply system.

Check that +12v is present at the main fuse/relay distribution panel.

When checking voltages, switch the headlights (or Ignition) alternately on/off and observe voltage remains good in all cases.

When checking these voltages also ensure you check with the negative connection of your testlight (or multimeter testlead) connected to 1) the battery negative,

    then

    2) the vehicle frame or chassis.

This is to ensure integrity of frame ground connnections.

Follow this test procedure right up to the ignition switch and the headlight switch.

The tests using this method should resolve your problem.

What causes tractor tt75 new holland to vibrate.I did engine overhaul and I fitted new pistons, rings, bearings,& other recommended items.the crankshaft also went for grinding.

Are you sure they hooked the crankshaft dampener back on?

Does the vibration happen at all rpm's or just a certain range? The Flywheel could not be centered exactly (or even reversed) or not balanced

Alero camshaft positioning sensor

how i did it was removed the bolts on the altenator and moved it aside, then unclipped the cruise controller from the bracket by the front motor mount. Then with my 1/4 inch drive 1/2 socket removed the power steering bolts through the power steering pump pully and moved it to the side and then pulled out the 8mm bolt that holds the sensor in and wholla the sensor pulls out push the new one in and put everything back together.

Just installed a rebuilt 360 in a 1999 dodge truck and it starts and idles but it wont accelerate ?

if it is idling and you push on the gas and nothing happens. sounds like you did not connect the throttle cable back up. Now if it idles and you put it into drive and push on the gas and the engine revs up and you do not move then you didnt hook up the transmission up right. if this is a manual transmission you put the pressure plate on backwards.

I have a 2003 Nissan SL 2.5 4 cylinder Altima. The car was running fine and I purchased some gas and the next day it started vibrating and missing (not accelerating fast/like a hesitation). The guy at the...

Today the guy at the auto parts store hooked it up to a computer and sold me the recommended dealer parts ( a CKP-crankshaft position sensor and vehicle speed sensor).

OK the problem is the CKP and no you dont want to do it yourself, it is a hassle. take the dummy cover off the motor, leaning over the engine take your right hand and basically hug the engine, down on the bottom just before the trans housing is a green and black connector. press the green connector (in) pull off the connector, now try to get a 10mm small ratchet down ther loosen the bolt (not easy)
take out bolt.
put the connector back on the sensor, twist and pull till it comes out.
the reson for putting it back on is nissan put the connector in the way of the 10mm bolt, you cannot pull it out withthe connector off.
the new sensor is a different updated design, its backwards,
when it goes back in the connector will be turned the opposit direction.
on a 1 -10 scale this is a 10 on the loss of patience a true 6 packer

I want more horse power without having to due an engine swap whats the best way to start everythings stock

start with intake manifold cold air intake not a short ram intake performance spark plugs wires and distributor cap, headers exhaust system not a tip.
make sure you have an LSD transmission then pull apart the motor mainly the head change out valves, spring retainers, and springs. new camshafts make sure you buy the springs and spring retainers before you put in the new cams. if you have the money to bore out the block it be better to take your block clean it up and put darton sleeves then buy a new crankshaft new psitons and rods with new rings all of this will cost a good deal but will increase performance a turbo should be the last thing you do increase the motor HP and max it out then put in a turbo but ensure your car is sleeved darton sleeves are the best never had a problem. i used to own a 2000 honda civic si i pushed 239 HP staright motor B16A2 motor. good luck any other questions let me know

Explain :P0320 ignition engine speed input circuit malfunction: it was driveable but it just cut off and want run at all.

My truck was doing the same thing.... replaced the crankshaft sensor first, truck would still die after about 10 minutes of idleing, it back-fired thru the engine and blew off the back of the intake manifold. Pulled the monifold, reglued end-cap and put back in truck. STILL died after idleing for 10 minutes. Code PO320 kept coming up ( crankshaft sensor) researched it and found a bad camshaft sensor can cause crankshaft sensor to act up and give code for the crankshaft sensor. Replaced camshaft sensor and the truck runs like a dream !!!!!! I believe the Manifold was cracked for a while causing the 1299 code reading ( vacuum leak) the back-fire finished it off! I would check the back of your intake manifold for a leak. The combination of fixing the vacuum leak , cam/crankshaft sensors seems to have fixed the problem. GOOD LUCK!!!
