Loosen the Axel castle nut on the Axel and there is a bolt with a nut out the back of the swing arm. Turn the nut in the same amount on both side till the chain has 1/2 inch of movement up and down and tighten the Axel nut to 80 ft pounds.

I have a 95 Yamaha fzr 600 where would I be able to find a power commander for the model of my bike

Power commanders are only for injected bikes...
1995 FZR 600 has 4 cvk34 carbs...therefore what you would need is a dynajet kit.

hi,if it is anything like the 400r,the tensioner will be automatic and non adjustable, normally the chain guides wear out before the adjuster reaches it outer limit, they are quite esay to replace but you need to take the cams out to do it,you will probably find that a lot of the noise coming from the motor is the clutch basket,as a matter of course they are quite noisy once you start to get a few km on the bike...cheers

Is there such thing as a 1991 fzr600 and a 1991 fzr600r?

1994-5 were the only two years for that bike according to this page. Keep in mind the model/letter designations are not the same everywhere in the world. On the page they also list several years of "Yamaha FZR 600 (reduced effect)" which someone could call an FZR600R, even if that's not exactly what the factory called it.
