Replace the cable from the starter to the starter solenoid with a thicker cable.

Wont start

Check ground wire that usually connects from battery to Starter bolt.
Or at least clean connections at battery terminals

Starters take a lot of Current to turn, bad connections at battery will allow many functions to appear fine but No Crank at teh Starter

The battery is charged but when you try to start the bike it makes a clicking sound. If you keep trying to start the bike it will start. 2002 Dina wide glide

sounds a bit like either a battery that is starting to go bad and not giving you enough cranking amps or a loose or bad ground wire.

I would check all the cables to the starter, battery and frame to be sure of clean contact and tightness.
also try a new battery to see if that helps
if this all fails then you may have to pull and rebuild the starter

hope this helps

I keep trying to get it to turn over but it keeps clicking and wont turn over. im thinking its the starter but it worked fine yesterday i had to jump it and it would turn over yesterday. i left it in the...

Most likely it is your battery. If it started when you jump started it then the battery was too weak, and it won't hold a charge, so when you park it overnigt it is not strong enough to start the bike. You may have loose or corroded cables and that can lead to a weak battery because it wasn't getting charged like it should. Unfortunatly when bike batteries get that weak they usually need replaced. Unlike a car battery they can't take the punishment of improper charging.

Yamaha v star 1100 every time i push starter buttom i hear click in the small box with 2 30 amp fuses but starter do not engaging

first check battery for full charge 12.5 to 14 volts. second corroded battery cables can cause this symptom.third check connections to battery and starter and ground are clean and tight. fourth, click in small box maybe a malfunctioning starter relay- you can ask dealer if your bike has one. last possible starter failure.

Charging problem/no start 95 ninja zx6r

If lights dim when trying to start,Battery is to weak(may have 12 volts but not enough amps)
Bike dieing when removing power from jumper says the lighting coil on the stator plate is bad and this could also have killed the voltage regulator,Which would kill the battery by over charging it.
Hesitation and carbon smell could be from a non firing cylinder.

So,Take the battery and have it load tested (free at most auto part stores)
Check for power from the lighting coil on the stator
Replace the voltage regulator.

Bike won't start

I had the same problem and found the ground was corroded. Short the negative side of the battery to the frame and try again, you should get it started immediately!!!!!!!!
