You need to check if the main fuse isn't blown and also try to source a motorcycle battery, then check if there is spark to the plugs.
Sometimes electrical components on bikes that were stored for long periods of time work only for a few minutes and then they give up the ghost, same as old tv's etc.
But yeah check all fuses because at least the ignition light or oil light, neutral etc needs to turn on. Good luck!
Hi, When you shift do you have high RPMs. Try lowering RPMs when you shift.
Also you said it gets warm. Try using a different oil (heavier oil). Hope that helps.
I have an apache 100cc it kick 1st time but when I cut out its hard to re start sometimes is doesnt start up again til next day. I've changed the spark plug, carburettor and ignition coil and still the same. Has a full tank of petrol, fresh oil and 2 stroke. Plus when it does start it doesn't move at all. I have no idea what else I can do any help please? Much appreciate
Check your battery is holding a charge. First remove it and charge off the bike at a "Trickle" charge for a bout 24 hours. then refit and try and start the bike, if it starts you need to check it is charging. The voltage when running (measured at the battery) should be in the region of 14 volts DC. If it lower than this you have a problem with the regulator, redctifier or alternator. In which case I would suggest you get an electrician to look at it to ascertain to faulty part.
Has the bike been stored for any long length of time? old fuel in the carburetor will turn to a varnish like residue blocking the jets,or possibly water in the carburetor.
