2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited low RPM Squeal

I noticed this sound the day after I purchased.  Took it back and the service tech said he heard the squeal but wanted me to break the vehicle in more first.  This vehicle had about 50 miles on it.  I now have about 5000 miles on it and it is still doing the same thing.  Upon initial acceleration, between 1800-2200 RPM's and under 40mph there is a loud squeal.  I mash the accelerator a little harder when I hear it and it goes away.  Or I can maintain constant pressure and the noise is continuous.  So the noise is easily controlled by acceleration.  I don't have any idea what it could be.  I am scheduled to take it back to the dealership, but I am skeptical as to the reconciliation, given that they did not seem to be too concerned about it the first time I brought it in.

It could be a belt or a bad bearing in one of the accessories or and idler/tensioner pulley.

2010 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sport extreme shudder at 40 mph- if I press the gas-pedal and get the RPMs to rev, the shudder ceases, only to return once I am back down around 38 mph-41mph.

which engine the 3.6? v6?
that shudder is called MISFIRE.
get a tune up yet, even $1.49 spark plugs?
no its not the trans,
if it dont slip, its not trans, (see RPM races? that is slip or too low gear)
if it shifting to the right gears, its not the trans can you count them?
is the CEL lamp glowing or flashing driving, is yes, that means
scan me now. in fact scanning while it shudders, is like (magic)
why start guessing, do a tuneup,
then scan it.
if its is misfire the PCM will tell you what cylinder misfires.

are your spark plugs 6 years old, if yes, why?
going for 200k miles on them.?

Cold weather squeal

Check your belts and pulleys. Belts should not be cracked and pulleys should turn freely with no noise.

I have a 2003 Jeep Wrangler that has a high pitch SQUEALING sound when I release the accelerator. Any ideas what's causing it or how to fix it?.

I know i have the same problem, and i also noticed than when i open the Hood the whistle just stops, so i figure out it must be some air cycling in or out osmewhere, I found out my air intake connected to throttle body was misplaced a weird gap was left open allowing air to whistle. u might wanna check there

Describe your 1997 Jeep Wrangler 1997 jeep wrangler 4 cyl idle fluctuates 900 rpm to 400 rpm after warmup no service engine light but check guages light comes on momentarily when rpm gets low and oil press...

The check gauges light is normal because at 400 rpm it isn't running fast enough to build sufficient oil pressure. I am guessing maybe a vaccum leak???

Power loss + squeal @ 4500~ rpm

Could be the cat, They can make some pretty strange noises...Disconnect it and take it for a short ride and see if rpm's are fine (with it removed you probably won't be able to hear the noise though)

2008 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. Put wider tires on with after market rims, now when turn corners on ramps the traction control light comes on and the brakes grab on the front making it difficulot to...

Took back to store where bought tires and rims. They also put the computer on, but they drove with it attached and the tech who was in passenger seat said left front wheel not calibrated as the others so he calibrated all wheels to .05 at the maximum tire allowance. This has stopped the brakes from grabbing.

Said that the factory had programmed in for 16 inch rims. Jeep came standard with 18 inch.
Now everything working great. Don't know why dealership could not do this properly. Happy I bought tires and rims from a reputable and knowlegeable store. (Tire Craft) Thanks Mike.

Rough idle, stalling

You must get the system scanned for fault codes, sounds like the electronic throttle control has a failure.
