Actually Kawasaki does have color codes. The body panel part numbers for a certain color bike will have a common three digit dash number at the end of the part #..... That's the paint code !! My 2002 blue bike was something like -237. I just went through this trying to get the race bodywork matched to the stock color. I think they got the paint from Dupont ?? They painted everything but the front fender and I think it matches pretty good.. Thanks
I had a similar problem with Yamaha, they did not have codes, if you take a side cover or similar with required color to a paint shop they can match it and give you a code.
I dont think kawasaki do paint codes go to a auto paint supplier and get a colour match,if it is not right you usually get a second match for free.or contact a quality motorcycle paint spray company they may have the code sorted from past jobs.
you and many others are looking for this answer, but kawasaki do not keep paint codes for there older bikes ( i had a 79 z1000 )and had no luck from kawasaki via email phone calls etc, the only thing you can do is use a piece that is as good as new and get it matched from a good paint shop ,
