I borrowed my friends 2005 vstar 650. I was riding to work and decelerated through an intersection. When I accelerated again the bike was running poorly. It felt as though it were dragging something. Both exhaust have hot air. I changed to fuel filter, plug in the rear cylinder as it was fouled. I hear a clanking noise when idling, can't tell where. The bike was low on oil also. I added 1 1/4 quarts. After I run the bike the rear cylinder is not as hot as the front. I can still get up to speed but the bike struggles going uphill. Any suggestion

Sounds major. Clanking and low on oil sounds like a broken piston ring. Suggest dealer check with compression tester rear cylinder. Replace v star with Harley if necessary.

How to plug the ais on a 2001 Yamaha vstar 650

If your Yamaha Vstar 650 is backfiring when decelerating, it could be due to a lean fuel mixture or an air leak. One solution is to adjust the air/fuel mixture screw on the carburetor, but before doing that, it's recommended to check and address the following:
  1. Inspect the exhaust system: Make sure there are no holes, leaks, or loose connections in the exhaust system. Fix any issues if found.
  2. Check for air leaks: Inspect the intake manifold and carburetor boot for any cracks, loose connections, or air leaks. If you find any, fix them and ensure a tight seal.
  3. Clean or replace the air filter: A dirty or clogged air filter can affect the air/fuel mixture. Clean or replace the air filter if necessary.
  4. Check carburetor jets: If the bike has been sitting for a while or the carburetor hasn't been cleaned in a long time, there might be debris or clogs in the jets. Remove and clean the carburetor jets.
  5. Adjust the air/fuel mixture: Locate the air/fuel mixture screw on the side of the carburetor. Gradually turn it clockwise or counterclockwise (usually clockwise) until the backfiring reduces or stops. Start with small adjustments, and make note of the screw's original position in case you need to revert the changes.
  6. If the backfiring persists, it is recommended to consult a motorcycle mechanic or Yamaha dealership for further diagnosis and assistance.

I have a 2005 yahama 650 vstar classic and when your riding and give it fuel she revs up but dont want to go but i also noticed that if you go easier on tbe fuel it kinda picks up speed

indicates a clutch problem
check that the clutch is properly engaging
replace /adjust cable or check/replace clutch master cylinder if hydraulic operation
make sure that the correct oil is used in the clutch area as any incorrect oil will cause slipping ( your indication) or grabbing

Vstar 650 2005 tire pressure

The pressure on the sidewall is the max for that tire. Not the "correct" for model and weight of bike - and that value is usually significantly lower.

I have a 2002 VStar classic 650 problem with high speed vibration

I would guess that the tires need balancing. There is a product you can buy that is a bunch of little BB's you put in the tire that will balance it. I have not used it so I would recommend taking your bike to a tire shop and have them balace it for you.
