It can go upto 70mls/hr ir derestricted. If you are de-restricting it for the purposes of changing it's classification to satisfy the DVLA (UK) or equivalent DMV, then it should be done by an approved workshop and the de-restriction entered on the DVLA (or equiv) database. The restriction consists of a 'choke' washer/gasket placed between the carburettor(s) and cylinder head. The fuel/air mixture is also adjusted. The removal of the restriction is the reverse of the fitting.
If your on a L plate then the bike should be restricted to 11.5w of power, which is about 15 bhp, when it's de-restricted should be around 34bhp. First is the power valve or a RAVE Valve as some people call it, have you got one? located on the front of the cylinder body, above the exhaust. some times the body of the power valve is there, but there is a blanking plate is underneath it.
If the body of the power valve is missing, then its a blanking plate. need to get a power valve and the control unit and the solenoid, fitting is easy look around the net and you'll find one. The next one is the emissions restriction, which is in place due to italy have a real hard on about thier air.
The CDI at the back of the back of the bike needs to removed and then if you look at one side you will see a rubber sealant has been used to fill in one side. You need to dig that out and snap a little piece of the circuit board and then refill the hole with a rubber sealant. try to search the net for a how to do on this you need to look at the pics and see what part of the board needs snapping, don't go blindly into this other wise you will kill the CDI. the bike then will act alot more smoothly in the lower end revs.

the bike is restricted to 33bpn so i need to know how to de restrict this bike to use his normal speed, some of them are restricted for learners so i need to de -restrict it, is that clear enough?
Russ
Man this is a bit complicated but yes , very interesting i will try to do something with that because i need the bike to go smothie, is all about that, not the speed because you can get 70 Mh, is more than that is just a bit to hard to ride this way and i think its a good bike that its been damaged by this regulation which is not helping really, you will be surprise if i tell you that the reason of this is a safe of £200 they charge to move it, so i dont whant to pay this joke of money to do that so if i can get pictures and instructions to how to do this i will be more than happy to do it, and thanks for your advise
Russ
Yes this bike should be on a legal 33bhp so its legal to put on his normal standards as i want to, but the cost here in uk is absolutly amazing to do on a specialist and i thisk i can do it with a bit of advise and instructions, woul you be able to do that for me ??
Cheers
Russ
