Starting prblem monster 600 dark

I also have problem starting upp, but with my bike it goes like this.

keep handlebar in neutral = won\t start
turn handle handlebar to the right = it starts!!!!!

and also after a week of standing still the start engin works but I have to keep trying to start maybe 20-30times before any gas ignites!
can this be fuelfilter being blocked or carborater prbelem or bad start-plugs?

What grade of gas do you use in the bike? you could just have clogged jets in the carb. also check the operation of the choke.

1998 Ducati Monster 750 won't start. Ticks over ok, but won't "fire". New fuel in tank only two days ago, ran several trips since, just won't start now. Tried push-start, sounds like...

Carburetors could be dirty/blocked. Open throttle and spray carburetor cleaner in them, wait a few minutes, then start. Also spray carburetor cleaner again when revving. Should fix it.
Also, try starting with no choke and no throttle. It could be flooding.
Clean spark plugs.

My Ducati Monster M600 Dark won't start. I started yesterday and sunday no problems. Got her back and she just wont fire. I left it over night and tried again this morning but still nothing. I think that...

Park the bike out of bright sunlight. Take one plug out and hold it (with the ignition lead attached) against the side of the engine. Crank the engine and look for a strong blue spark. Repeat with each plug. If you don't see a strong spark, you need to clean, replace and or/regap that plug. If that doesn't fix the problem, have your coils checked.

Fuel System in Ducati DARK 600 Monster,

Strip and clean carbs, I had the same problem and that's how I fixed it. Take the carb to bits then soak all the bits in clean petrol (or prpsi believe it or not) for 1/2 an hour.

Clutch

new procut basket and barnett plates. Had to file the barnett friction plate tangs they all slide but are a tight fit. All plates installed carefully per the Barnett instructions. Started the bike in neutral all fine shifted into 1st clutch in, I feel the bike want to creep forward although just slightly (I can hold it with my feet down). Can't get to neutral again with the clutch in until I shut the bike off. So, just before I go back in and pull a plate out to make the clutch pack smaller, i wondered whether anyone here has had this problem and whether if I ride it like this for a short while whether the clutch pack will settle in and fully disengage?,A too-high overall thickness of the plate stack will cause drag between plates when the clutch is disengaged making it difficult to select neutral when the bike is stopped. The last 2mm steel plate can be interchanged with a 1.5mm curved plate facing away from you if you want to adjust the stack to get the 38mm stack thickness, or if you want a more progressive, soft clutch engagement. A commonly-used substitution that adds an additional spring plate to the stack. Any of the steel 2mm plain plates can be exchanged with 1.5mm plain plates to reduce stack thickness or increase stack thickness as needed to achieve your desired overall height. You will see the need for this as friction plates wear, so keep your steel plates from pervious clutch replacements as spares to be used as height adjustments later. The 2mm and 1.5mm steel plates only need replacing if theyā€™re scored or warped.,,,
