Is there a spark a decent one if not try changing plugs if still no spark it could only be the cdi, coil and magneto get back to me buddy
Testimonial: "Awesome...just comepletely awesome thanks for all your help and look forward to more in the future "
hi buddy 1st take the plug out and place it against the cylinder with it still connected and kick the bike over and see if you can see a blue spark on the end get back to me
just easy buddy pull it out still pluged in on the plug and get the plug and place it against a metal part off the engine and start the bike and see if it sparks you can tell this in daytime and night tbh budy
if its a late spark its the timing gone also replace the plug and try the coil on a different bike the coils the wire from the plug into a box or cylinder
ok buddy on the left side casing take this off anderneith you will see a flywheel put a rod in the spark plug hole and when the piston reaches the topwhen the rods is at its highest the markinson the flywheel should be at tdc which means top dead centre if its not get back to me
there should be marking on the flywheel when at top dead centre piston at top cylinder is there anything on there at all and arrows lining up etc here is a flywheel like the markings on the flywheel (A) the little lines should line up with the arrow
hi buddy again i went bed last night sorry my email is [email protected] i wont be home till 3:30 so i will help you out then bud
hi buddy again when ypu put a rod in the spark plug and when the rod went its highest up was there any marks on the magneto flywheel
this one buddy
no probz buddy any more questions just askme
what like tune the carburettor??
ok buddy to adjust the carb you just fiddle with this screw normally the manual says turn this all the way in and unsccrew it so many time we will go for 2 1/2 turns out its the mixture screw im ntelling you about also the engine oil use SILKOLENE COMP 2 PLUS (it is 2 stroke isnt it) and the transmision fluid use SILKOLENE TITAN ATF 3000 add 220 ml to you transmision and thats it good luck buddy also i will send the picture tonight when i get home

this is a 1979 tomos bullet a3 not the 2005 something or other they had listed umm new plug and when i say new plug i mean new plug as in one lol its a one cylinder engine i know nothing of the cdi or magneto someone suggest points i dont even know if it has points i got this 2 days ago for free and im just bored fixing it up seeing as its 30 years old and in damn good shape id love to be able to get it running but im a novice to the 2 storke world gimme a car engine ill go crazy lol please advise i do know it has a magneto on it but that thing could dance a jig and i wouldnt have the slightest clue what the hell im doing to fix it lol
hard to tell ya but itll shoot a shock up your arm and make your hand go numb if that helps any its sunny as hell in connecticut so i wont notice a good color spark till 4 hours from now
faded blue spark asked my buddy who helped me with it said that it wasnt sparking fast enough not enough rotational spark from the magneto what ever that means
ok so if the timing is gone how do i fix that on a 2 stroke??
what markings am i looking for i dont see any markings to tell me if they are lined up
still no markings but i took 2 pics to show you what im looking at do you have an email address where i can send them too
those pics are with the piston being top dead center so i cant see any marks on the magneto flywheel that tell me what is what...if you see something on the flywheel or in those pics that could tell me something great if not i have nothing new
actually with some playing around i got it to run...i did notice that the float needle was upside down and the main jet somehow was clogged again...dude i thank you for ALL your help...i was able to get it up and running and rode it around for like 10 mins before a friggin tire popped lol thanks for EVERYTHING
do you know how to fine tune this motor???
well i took it today for an extended run and i noticed after a while i would kick start it and it would start then die...now at the moment i am not running any fuel filters there was a inline fuel filter but it wouldnt let gas pass thru into the carb...also i noticed that when im driving it and im taking off..that it is a bit sluggish im not sure if its a throttle cable or something along those lines.. but i am on a killer search for a fuel filter that will go inline but so far all ive been able to find are huge bulky bastards lol..but i guess its a matter of possibly messing with the carb a little and with the throttle?? let me know what you think
and when i mean ride i took it for like a 1 hour ride maybe...but all in all thing ran like a gem i need to adjust the breaks and buy a new tire for the front...other than that it downshifts and upshifts decently but i am not sure i have or need to change some tranny fluid on that bad boy and also i wanna change the engine oil...
I have a tomos a-35 sprint moped. I have cleaned carburator, changed spark plug. cannot get started. it has been sitting for several months. What can I so to get it started?
