Please clarify. You fully charged the new battery before installing it? You have double-checked your cables are connected correctly both to the battery and to your bike? You have tested your battery voltage at the battery and found it to be about 12v with no load and more than 10v while attempting to start the bike? You have tested your system voltage at the starter and found it to be more than 10v while attempting to start the bike?

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, try starting with the clutch lever pulled in and / or the sidestand folded up.  Additionally, determine if there is a clicking sound.  If there is, then it would most likely be the starter solenoid.

Good luck and thank yu for asking FixYa.

You need to charge a new battery if you just filled with acid.

Just bought 05 gsxr 750 and at idle it running 220. is that normal

If it's 54 outside and the fan is not running because the cold air is passing through the radiator and the coolant is doing it's job. Then you come up on a red light and basically all of the sudden that 54 degree wind chill has somewhat stopped (because 54 degrees outside and going 50 mile per hour creates quite a wind chill) the engine will heat up, cause the thermostat to open allowing the fluid to flow through the system. Now the fan kicks in at 220 degrees and begins to cool everything back down or you start riding and the wind cools it back down again...........I hope this helps a little. My bike heats up quickly too especially after riding for awhile and then stopping at a red light. I flush my coolant system yearly before the winter. It's generally recommended every 2 years.Ref: https://www.gixxer.com/forums/80-06-07-gsx-r600-750/294175-rapid-heating-idle.html

Charge

from personal experience alternators can test good when you take them off your vehicle and carry into a parts store. if when the car is running and you take the negative cable off the battery and it dies, than you know the alternator is bad. never remove the positive when running or before the ground post. had an 05 kia serento doing the same thing. replaced alternator and fixed the problem

I have an 05 Chevy Uplander. Battery went dead so

While under the hood to jump the battery, is it possible that a vacuum line might have gotten disturbed, broken or pulled off of a connector?
I would probably look there first; it might be a simple problem not directly related to the dead battery episode.

05 GSXR 750 Speedometer Reads 0

I just had the same problem 2004 gsxr 750. After massive troubleshooting and time I found out it was the gauge. So I then ebayed a gauge on ebay and bought on for 290 dollars. Speedo now works. I am just off on the actual speed, need to by a speedo healer.

05 ford escape wont start. jump started it and it started fine but only runned for a few minutes and the engine started to stall and went off. tried to start it again and it wont turn with the same...

okay try this....talk to your parts store and get a battery load tester, and find out if the battery is indeed dead. My guess is it sounds like the Altenator is dying. they are around 50-100 and can be install by a pro in minutes.

Motorcycle wont start

If cranking is slow it could be a sign of a 'near to dead' battery.
When cranking on its battery there is a too low voltage and weak or no sparking.
When jump starting or pushing the bike, there is a good spark and the engines fires up.

Check also the spark plugs! And carburettors cleaniness
