Sounds like a regulator...what is the voltage now? try also to trickle charge for about four to five hours...put it back in... if it starts...run the bike up to 4000 rpm and watch the multimeter...it should start to rise to about 14v then go back down to 13v, this means the regulator is doing its job to keep it from overcharging,....if it does all this, then your regulator is good! so its probably a bad battery.

My battery on my 94 Honda cbr 600 f2 wont hold a charge I jump it and it will run for a short while then die

With a voltmeter check to see if terminals show several volts higher than battery specs when bike is running. If so then replace battery. If not have charging system checked out.

Why doesn't my 02 Honda cbr keep charge.

You could load test the battery ,to see if its good ,if it is good or new,it may be your stator,or charging system. You could check the voltage of the battery while its running to see if its charging. I found ,they dont like not being started,or sitting for awhile. Ive installed a battery tender ,that keeps my battery fully charged even if you let the bike sit for extended periods of time. Its a very low amp charging system ,then turns itself on and off,to keep your battery fully charged. Sometimes there called Float chargers too.

Will my 97 cbr 900 run with the stator unplugged?

Perhaps it will run for a few seconds or minutes but it will die eventually. Stock bikes cannot run just with their battery. You need to have your stator repaired.

Hi, Just bought a 1994 CBRR 900 last week. Battery was poor, tested it and verdict was sulphating. Therefore i replaced it, went for a 5 hour ride yesterday and had the lights on all the time, did over...

It sounds like a problem with the charging circuit. You should be able to ride with your lights on!
The first thing to do is put a multimeter set to DC Volts across the battery with the engine running. Are you seeing more than 13.5 volts? If not there is a charging problem. It could be the regulator/rectifier or the stator windings, or just loose electrical connections if you are very lucky. I have a manual for the 900 Fireblade (I used to have a 98 Blade) so let me know if you need anymore help.

I haven't rode my 2008 honda cbr 1000 for 6 months and when I got it back from storage where I winterized my bike and took the battery off of the bike. the battery level was %20. it is 700 miles on it....

batteries do lose charge if connected and not running for a while. when in storage you should disconnect the battery. specially if the storage area isn't heated.

hope this helps.

FI lights stays on, popped on last night while

FI means fuel injection and your bikes computer is picking up a problem and letting you know that maintenance has to be performed for peak efficiency. you can go to the dealer and have them read the codes and you can decide whose going to do the repairs. or just try some Seafoam, buy it at Autozone pour 1/3 to 2 gallons fuel, it wont hurt it, and ride it around getting on every once in awhile, for about 10 to 15 miles, then you might have to disconnect the battery to reset the light...these are just the cheapest things to try. let me get some feedback on this thanks!

Honda cbr 2004 my bikes stalls an wen i come to a complete stop it turns off

To clarify.... Have you had it on a trickle charge? Do you ride it all the time? Alarm? Sounds to me (with out being there) like a common problem....But I would need to hear it. Does it run sluggish just before it stalls or dies? If yes to most or all of those it may be that your battery isnt hold a charge. You have to run your bike at high RPM for it to properly charge. Just starting it in the garage from time to time dosnt really charge the battery. Take it to autozone and get a good charge on it if you havnt already. It take 3 hours to charge that battery fully. Also another 2 things strike me as well. 1.It could be the tilt sensor isnt operating properly. 2. The kick stand sensor or kick stand loose. I would try those first. Let me know.

Cbr 900rr, bike just stopped running while riding, wont start?

Almost certainly a bad battery. Put a voltmeter on the battery and check it while trying to start the bike. If it drops to less than 10v the battery is dead.
