Panasonic KX-T7730 Speed Dials - Please Help!

I am trying to update the speed dials on our Panasonic KX-T7730 (which there is about 80 of) but for some reason I can't go past nine - i.e. if I try to enter a number as speed dial no. 10 it enters as speed dial no.1
Can you please help me?

How do I get into System programming then?

  • samantha975 Sep 07, 2009

I have only been at this job for 2 months and have never used these phones before and so when you say SYSTEM programming I have no idea that that means I am meant to find a box somewhere, so forgive me for not being as knowledgable as you, you condescending pig. I will find help elsewhere thanks.

So I guess that means you're not programming SYSTEM speed dial numbers. Those are programmed from the system manager or operator's station. Personal speed dials are 1-0 and are programmed per set.

Thanks for the rating. No system model, no explanation, and I stupidly answered your question.

    No wonder I stopped guessing.

The PHONE is model 7730. It connects to a Panasonic TA/TAW/TD/KXT-30810/61610 or any number of the 18 cabinets that will work.

No matther how you look at it, it requires you to be in SYSTEM programming and that isn't by dialing 2 plus anything.

All of this could have been avoided if you had enough sense to go to the closet or back room and look at the box where all the phone lines appear. what SYSTEM is the phone connected to?

I have a Samsung monitor can you tell me why it doesn't load spreadsheets? I can get into FixYa just fine, but when I go to load .xls files it doesn't do anything. I've only been here for a week and I don't have a manual and I can't be bothered to look at the other end of the video cable to see what computer it's plugged into or if a program is installed, but how do I make it work?

Is that condescending enough for you?

Try a Panasonic dealer or the file cabinet for a manual. I want the last word.

Hi I have a panasonic KX-T433 phone system which I am trying to put in speed dial numbers, we have to dial 9 to dial out does any one know how to do this using a 9 in front?

You have neither a 7730 (the category you asked in) or a 7433 phone sytem. If your phone is really a 7433, you have a TD phone system. Which "speed dial numbers" are you trying to program? System speed dials, are stored in system program 001 and consist of a 3 digit number (may be 2) with a "9" in front and the number as you would dial it from the keypad. Personal speed dial numbers depend on the button you're programming it onto. If it's a button with a light, you dial "2" in front of it. If not, you don't. So, Program 99, button, and either 29 + number STORE or 9+number STORE programs a personal speed dial.

There are other programs to store under the tone pad keys. Those features are covered in your User's manual for the TD system.

Panasonic KX-T7730 Corded Phone programmed speed dial numbers not working. will not dial numbers programmed

When the system is installed, you need to make sure that only the lines equipped are in the access plan (program 400 in a TA series box). When you go to the intercom on a phone and dial "9" you should get an outside line every time. If that works, system and personal speed dials include that access code as part of the number. eg my test number is 914197845522 9+1+10 digits.

Hoi have got speed dial on the main switchboard, so how do i do speed dial from other extensions

There is system and personal speed dials. System is programmed from the main phone and is dialed by using the AUTODIAL button and dialing a 2 or 3 digit code, depending on which system the 7730 is connected to. The other is PERSONAL speed dial, programmed on the 12 buttons on the right side of the phone. Those are programmed at each phone by using PROGRAM pressing the button and dialing an access code (usually 9) and the number then STORE.

.... TYPE DESIRED NUMBER(eg: 0000)
AND HANDUP

This would replace the existing number

I NEED TO STORE NUMBER ON MY PANASONIC KX T7730

The mechanics of storing a speed dial number on Panasonic phones is the same, even if the phone can be connected to one of 18 different model Key Service Units. It involves pressing PROGRAM a button, an access code, the number, and STORE. In the U.S. our access code to get an outside line is "9". You may be using something different, like '0'.

The differences are if you can dial "9" on the intercom and get a dial tone, which collumn of buttons you press, and/or whether you want this to be PERSONAL numbers or SYSTEM numbers.

In a TA-824, lines are accessed high to low. If you have 2 lines on a basic system and dial "9" to get an outside line, you will land on line 3 if you have not told the system that line 3 is disabled (system program 400). So, the fast answer is press PROGRAM, a button on the right side, dial 9+your desired number and STORE. If it's a left side button, dial 29 instead of 9.

System speed dials requrie access to system program 001.

If this does not work on your system, please comment back with your actual system model number.

Having trouble entering speed dials - please help!

Not knowing the specific model of the phone system itself (the PBX cabinet in the telephone closet) I would guess you are using the "personal directory" and it only has 10 number memory and it goes from 0-9. The system directory will give you more mems.

Programming numbers into telephone

to store a speed dial on the kx-t7730 with the Advanced Hybrid System KX-TA624 you press the following keys

<pick up the receiver>
2
*
<the number you want to have as speed dial>
<the number you want to dial>
<press the square shaped key next to 0 and 9>
<wait for dial tone to return>
<hang up>

To call using the now saved speed dial, press the square shaped key and then the number you have saved to speed dial

For example

<pick up receiver> 2*1555555555<square key> <wait for dial tone> <hang up>

This will mean that when you press the square key and 1, it will dial 555555555
