Grinding noise from passenger side engine

I am hearing a strange grinding sound when I accelerate in my 2003 Dodge Neon. The sound began by occuring every now & then, but now I hear it all the time, except when on the interstate at high speeds. I believe I have a knot in my passenger side front tire, but I have been driving on it anyway. Would the uneven tire be causing strain on that side of the engine & making something grind? I just had my timing belt changed-was told water pump is fine. Would a water pump make a grinding sound if it is going out? My husband thinks it's the water pump, but I'm not leaking water or running hot. Any suggestions?

The water pump bearings could be going out and they will make a grinding noise. The water pump doesn't always leak when the bearings are going out.

Leaking clear fluid passenger side front. Car made strange gear like noises before failing to run anymore and the leak at same time occured

Clear fluid leaking on that side suggests it is drainage from the air conditioner. None of the fluids in a car are normally clear.
UNLESS you have a serious antifreeze leak and you have topped it off with clear water.

The strange noise is most likely not related to the water leak unless you have used clear water in the cooling system.

It is too hard to diagnose that noise over the internet. It will need to be examined by someone who has good knowledge of cars.
Good luck with this. Those Neons are usually not too difficult to work on and and treated right, they can run for many years.

Rattling noise when accelerating

I would need to know what vehicle this is? 4 Cylinder. V6? 3.0? There are a few things it could be,

If the Engine is Moving, it could be hitting something so I would check the Motor Mounts (Happens quite Frequently on Taurus)

Check the Tension of your Serpentine Belt

will try to assist you. did you have your clutch replaced professionally? if it's a popping or cracking sound when accelerating or turning, it's most likely a c.v. axle going bad. either on driver or passenger side in the front of the car right?if it is a bad c.v. axle it will pop and crack when you turn wheel from left to right at low r.p.m. if not this, you may have brake issues. either it's a grinding sound while accelerating or decellerating,as long as cars in motion the noise will persist.try tapping your brakes while in a parking lot in slow gear, hear something from driver front, have a passenger with the widow down on passenger side, hear it from front passenger side? the thing i go by is what i hear when i test drive to diagnose an issue with a vehicle is,axles?popping and cracking when turning the steering wheel from left to right at low speed. My 2002 Dodge Neon makes a loud, almost grinding noise in the front end which is worse in the morning and lessens as it drives and warms up. Hear the noise only at lower speeds. There is no vibration...

I'd say there's no grease left in the CV joint boots, if it's front wheel drive. Something you should check right away, as your car has about reached that age, and if you run it without grease in the boots, you'll eat up the joints in a big hurry, and that's costly and dangerous as well.

I accelerate my 2000 neon, and it vibrates and get grinding noise

Check the front drive axles and boots. A bad cv (constant velocity) joint can cause this.

Noise and Vibration

I replaced the lower passenger side engine mount and the vibration is still there but a bit less vibration. The lower passenger mount was worn out. I was told by the Dodge service dept that it takes 5 hours to change the main hidden engine mount which is mid way up the passenger side of the engine. That main hidden mount cost 75.00

To get to it you would have to remove the wheel, inner fender plastic work, windshield washer fluid tank, and etc.
