Nelson turf EZ Pro 8300 one zone does not work, what can I do?

if you have 24 Volts AC on solenoid and the valve does not open, but opens manually, then the valve diaphragm is bad. You can test this by swapping wire at timer with a known good one. If the known good one will not open valve, repair it or better replace it.. I have found that buying a new valve and swapping parts is cheaper than buying individual parts. If you decide to replace diagram when reinstalling screws place screw in hole and turn to left, you will feel screw rise up and then fall, this is position you need to in as the screw will back in the original threads and not cut ones. do not tighten screw fully down and repeat for the remain 5 and the tighten in criss cross pattern

We have a Nelson ez pro jr 8300 series that was working fine at the end of last year but when we turned it on for this season it won't work except on the battery operation

Try removing the battery if possible and remove the charger then hold the power button in for 30 seconds then try again or try another charger

Reset after power outage

Most programmable thermostats have batteries to keep the program from being lost in a power outage. If you thermostat has dead batteries or no batteries a power outage will cause the thermostat to revert to a default setting and it will have to be reprogrammed. Hope this helps.

I have the Nelson Controller EZ Pro. Jr. 8006. AC is OK, Batteries are OK. but I lose set program after a day or two for no reason. Please help Thank you

Are you having power blinks? A real problem in my area. If so, replace the lithium battery inside. A little more hassle to get to than the AA batteries (but not impossible), but quite possibly the problem.

Error code 78

Usually a result of a sudden power outage. Majority of the time it can be reset without replacement of the fuser. Here is an article I wrote explaining the cause and how to reset the message.

A Nelson controller won't accept programming commands

Look for a 'master reset' in the manual. This should put everything back to 'default setting'. Then start over in your programming. Don't forget to save after you program your parameters.
