My detector also goes off flashing laser for no apparent reason and once is starts it wont quit going off intermediately for a entire trip whether i travel 5 miles or 300 miles....very frustratin for a state of the art unit
Does this happen in the city or does it happen when you are out in the middle
of nowhere? I have seen laser detectors that are falsely triggered by various
lighting devices that contain wavelengths of light similar to those used in
police laser.
If this is annoying and you dont want to hear it, you can locate the receiver
element that detects the laser signal and cover it up with a piece of black
electrical tape. That should stop whatever is causing your problem unless there
is something actually broken inside the unit.
Thanks,
