That clicking sound is the starter solenoid. check all large cables for corrosion and tightness. as for the signal lights, neutral and horn, i think a wire is grounding , thus causing the problem with the bike not starting also. check at ignition switch and at handle controls for a loose wire that may be touching the handlebar. basically inspect all the wiring on the bike

The starter solinoid is not working if it has an electric start, try kick starting it, if it won't start check the points or the ingiter coil.

Ridding my 94 FXR Harley and all of a sudden it stopped running, leaving me stranded on the side of the road. Everything was going normal untill it died and when it died it started to sputter as if it were...

The first thing I'd suspect is the battery. I've seen batteries break battery posts, suffer from internal shorts, and all sorts of problems. You FXR, as well as the Softail bikes, is very tough on batteries. This is due to the fact that the battery is in such close proximity of the hot oil tank subjecting the battery to higher temperatures than other model bikes. Vibration is a contributing factor in the Evolution and earlier bikes as well even if they do have rubber mounted engines. I'd take the battery out and take it to an automotive parts store and ask them if they can "load test" it for you. If the battery test good, you need to check to see if the main circuit breaker is tripping indicating a short circuit somewhere.

Okay i own 1996 suzuki gsxr750 now i have recently took everything off the bike to get parts painted tank, fairings, etc. while i was doing some minor things with the bike while it was completly stripped...

Bike batteries need full charge to start a bike, if there is less than full charge you can't even push start them. No click generally means no charge, the clicking sound is the solenoid working.
When you just start the bike and run it at idle, even fast idle. The battery does not get sufficient charge. What you take out of it to start it, is more than what you put back in it when you run it at idle. Bikes need to be at road speed to charge efficiently.
Also just sitting around they discharge, you may have an earth leak also. That causes your battery to discharge at a more accelorated rate than normal. If it has a clock in it, this bleeds off a small amount of power but still enough if it isn't being correctly charged.

My 92 600 katana wont start. It wont even turn over, when i press the start nothing happens. the battery is good i charged it up and all the lights work but it still wont turn over.

If the clutch switch, the neutral safety switch, and the side stand switch are all working correctly, then test the starting system. When you push the starter button you should hear a click , so you know the button is working.Follow the positive battery cable to the starter solenoid. Disconnect the two wires that activate the solenoid, test the two wires from the harness make sure the needle on your voltage meter jumps when you push the starter button, this means the button is good. Take a wire and jump the two posts on the solenoid or touch the two cables together. If your starter works, then you need a new solenoid. If you hold the starter button and tap on the starter with a plastic hammer and the starter works you need new starter brushes. Anything else wrong with the starter and you need to replace the starter assembly , the manufacturer does not make replacement parts for the starter.

When i go to start my 92 yamaha fzr 600 it makes clicking noise

This usually indicates there is not enough power to turn the starter over, so the solenoid just clicks. It sounds like you need the battery to be charged. If this is occuring even after 20 to 30 minutes of riding, either the charging system is not working or the battery is bad (motorcycle batteries typically don't last for more than 3 years, less if they are not kept charged during the non-riding months).

I try to start the bike kill switch is on. all i hear is tickin under seat. the last few days bike has had a lazy start. just got it tuned up completely even put new clutch

Sounds like your battery is run down and the starter relay is clicking. Put it on a charger and see if it will start. If the battery doesn't hold a charge, it may be time for a new one.

I can jump the bike and it will start. But when i try to start it w/o the jump i only hear a a click and it won't start. Help.

sounds like your bike battery has had it. it is clicking cause there isnt enough voltage to turn the starter motor. Replace your battery with a new one.

Hi i have a problem with my bike it is an 2001 aprilia rs 125cc. When i press the ignition button i hear a clicking noise coming from what i think is the starter relay? ( located at the front of my bike, behind the radiator ) and the starter motor wont spin or even try to crank the engine. i have also tried 2 bump / jump start the bike but still no start :( i think the battery is fine though as the lights work when ignition is on. can any1 help me with this problem? any suggestions and help appreciated thanks :)

At cruising speeds above 50 mph on my 92 harley, i hear a rattling sound in the engine, like a hot air corn popper where the kerrnels are bouncing off the side walls of the popper.

Sounds like detonation ( aka engine knock ), Switch to premium gas. If the knocking continues after the first tank of premium then go to the dealer and ask for spark plugs one heat range colder than the stock plug for your bike. This should fix the problem.
I hope you can rate this solution as a 'FixYa'.
