My 1500fi kills after several miles of riding

Vacuum in the tank; change the gas plug.

you could have a sticky EGR valve, also the ign module could be going bad

Change coils,fuel filter and check the code.

First thing....Change fuel filter. If that doesn't do it, you may have a bad connection connection in the main power supply to the fuel pump. Or a bad ground.

first try and start it with carb cleaner or starting fluid with the air filter out if it fires then its a carb/fuel problem if not it could be a spark problem remove the plug connect hte wire back up and crank the engine over while looking for spark if no spark disconnect the kill switch wires from the side of the engine should be a single wire near the throttle cable if spark with that off the problem is in the wiring or safety switch if still no spark its the coil

when i shut off my 2002 suzuki motorcyle it run perfect then went to start i and have no power battery good have no light on dash no head light brrake light everything is dead what could be wrong can you help with a idea thank you dave

I know this may sound silly, but try the kill switch in the other position.

try changing out ignition coil

FIRST thing to check is spark plug ,make sure it is sparking ,if it is and is wet change the plug .If plug is dry it could be the carb needs cleaning out if it has beesn stood for a while
