that's funny -- sorry.. seriously though, there is a sensor which is electronically powered to read your speed. You can find the details in a haynes or chiltons repair manual - try your local library to see if you can check one out...

SOURCE: 2003 grand caravan sport speedometer doesn't work

I have 4 dodge caravans. Everyone one of them does this we take it on the freeway get up over 60 mph and it will kick back around. I'm serious it will work fine after. Everyone can do this. I run a small taxi business and we only use dodge caravans.

My bike is Tvs victor 2002 it is not more mileage. So I will be fitting of local made of gas kit. Is it any other problems. How to fit of gas kit.

Please do not mess with the fuel metering. All motorcycles are as efficient as they can be right from the factory. if you want better mileage you MUST get a smaller bike. I repeat, if you mess with your fuel system, your bike will just run poorly and you may actually damage it. Anyone saying they can improve your mileage with a "KIT" is just stealing your money and possibly ruining your bike.

Odometer stopped working

How many miles are on this vehicle? I ask because the odometers in these car stop working around the 140k to 170k mark. Did the button comeback? Is this the mileage on the digital or analog trip meter?
The process to change the odometer gear is fairly straight forward and takes less than $20 and an hour. Let me know.

I have a 2006 kawasaki valcan 500 with 2500 miles on it manual said i need 10 40 oil hubby siad i can put 5-30 advanced full synthetic oil for high mileage of 75,000.he said it dose not matters witch oil...

With out getting in the middle of a hubby/wife thing, Ha, Here is what i highly recommend: Especially because the bike has only 2500 miles on it, and it is only a 500 cc, i would positively put 10/40, otherwise might not make it to the 75,000. 5-30 is ok, but designed for higher cc bikes in my opinion , and for higher mileage bikes.

Is 60,000km's alot for a 2003 v-rod?

Well, let's look at it this way. The bike is six years old so that's 10,000km's a year. Here in the states, that would be 6,200 miles per year which is considered high mileage on a motorcycle here. Most riders here are recreational riders rather than transportation riders and their mileages usually is about 2,500 miles per year.

More importantly than the total number of miles on the machine is the quality of the upkeep on the bike. Has the oil been changed on a regular basis and has the little things that go wrong with a daily ridden bike been repaired. I've seen bike with that much mileage on them in great shape but bikes with much less mileage in terrible shape.

Next, it the bike appropiately priced having that much mileage on it? You should be able to go to a bank and find out what the value of the bike is. Make sure you ask them about the mileage factor.

Good Luck and Ride Carefully
