If there is faulty regulator rectifier by changing the CDI the faulty rectify cause any defect to CDI my bike is pulsar 150 UG3

a rectifier changes the ac generated voltage to DC voltage that the electronics operates on
If the rectifier is not rectifying then and electronic components that get ac will probably fail
fix the charging faults first then replace the CDI

Battery getting discharg and not starting,if started then not taking load, mechanic told me rectifier problem ,tell the solution.

Not knowing all the details my guess would be to replace the alternator. The alternator can have a shorted rectifier which would cause the battery to drain.

What else besides bad caps cause power issues?

Shorted rectifier diodes [Rectifier stalk], shorted ceramic capacitors connected in parallel with rectifier diodes, and the DC power supply etc: can be the cause. Shorted junction with the switching regulator transistor, is the most common cause. The causes can be many. But, pinpoint the exact faulty component is the success for any repair work.

How to reset engine light

it depends what caused the fault, there are two types, soft and hard faults. Soft fault will automatically reset the EML when you rectify, Hard fault will need to be manually reset.

The easiest way is to buy a tool, goto ebay and search

Hi! I would like to know why is it that my DRZ400S is hard to start after sitting for a week or so. If I use it every day, no problems at all. But if it has been sitting for a longer period, then it's...

this can somtimes be caused by the fuel going off in the carb.
After it sits for any lenght of time , drain the carb bowl with the drain screw, then try starting,
the fuel stays fresher in the tank

Hi, The rectifier of my honda CBR 1000f year of made: 1992 has just burned again. I had the old one replaced last november 2009. I want to know what the problem could be that the new one has burned. What...

The three yellow wires carry AC current from the generator to the rectifier. The rectifier turns this AC current into DC current and sends it back to the battery through the red and the black wires. I am not certain what the purpose of the 7th wire is on the new rectifier except that it may be used for thermal sensing of the rectifier - which would explain why it is mounted tight to the unit.
Of all the components that make up your Honda's charging system, the rectifier is the most likely to fail. The reason is usually excess temperature buildup - which causes the diodes inside it to fail. If you are running extra electrical accessories on your bike, this can cause the rectifier to overheat and die. Same thing if you frequently let the bike sit until the battery goes dead, the rectifier works hard to recharge it each time.
You may be able to extend the life of the unit by avoiding things that put extra strain on it, as described above. Also make sure there's nothing covering the cooling fins on the rectifier - or blocking airflow to it (dirt, that extra pair of gloves stuffed next to it, etc.).
Finally, there's one thing that will kill the rectifier instantly: connecting the battery cables backwards. That'll fry it every time.

Charging problems on my 1983 Suzuki GR650 tempter

The only easy way is for you to buy the service manual - it is pretty hard to tell you how to service your regulator if you don't know what it is...
And it is - or at least something in the charging circuit.
Early Suzukis had consistent charging problems, resulting in run-down batteries, short battery life, hard starting and frequent stator and regulator/rectifier replacement. Some of the problem is due to poor quantity or corroded electrical connectors, some to a poor ground to the regulator/rectifier and some just poor quality components or design. Keeping the connectors on the three stator wires clean and by running a heavy ground wire directly from the negative terminal of the battery to the regulator/rectifier mounting bolt will help.
You can download the GR650 manual here - just look for the tiny "Save file to your PC: click here" at the bottom right of the page.
