For what it's worth, I had the same issue with the same bike, just a R1 instead of a R6, it ran poorly at high rpms only, it was the fuel line not being routed correctly under the tank and it was starving for fuel at higher rpm due to lack of fuel, check it out, also check the fuel pressure regulator just to be sure it's got the necessary psi to run properly. Good Luck my friend! Ride Safe!

this year model is notorious for fuel related probs...check the remainder of the fuel system, injectors, and the fuel pressure regulator also verify that the fuel pump is actually running and getting the correct amount of power to the pump itself..... it may not be bad just not getting enough power

Pull the slides from the throat of the carbs, Move the clip on the jet needles one notch lower, two notches at the most. Simple and didn't cost $400.

Hi! Either the elbow at back of intake manifold is leaking or your intake gaskets are leaking. A very common occurance on both items and either one will set a lean code and illuminate the check engine light. Hope this info helps!

Sounds like it may be drawing air around the intake somewhere. Let it idle and spray around carefully with wd-40 until it speeds up. This will reveal the leak.
