Wondering if anyone else has a 2008 GSXR 600 if they have had an issue when you get in it in first gear it like boggs down or doesn’t want to rev up right away it’s like it spits and sputters and then goes any ideas why this would happen?

SOURCE: I have a 2001 suzuki gsxr 600 shifting problems

One of two things is happening. One is the cost of a double oil change and filter. The other requires your banks loan officer.

Change gearbox oil and install a new oil filter. Dirt and grit in the oil is binding the gears and shift drum. Ride the bike for a couple of hours. Now drain the oil again and put in fresh oil. This will flush out the dirt and grit. Use 10w40 motor oil. Stick with the major brands; Pennzoil, Quaker State, Mobil or Shell. If dirty oil is not the problem at least we eliminated the possibility for only the cost of a few quarts of oil.

Now let's talk about that loan officer. The shop is going to charge around $1000 plus to replace a bent shift fork. This is not a repair for the untrained. Sorry.

SOURCE: Motor spits and sputters

If it is old enough to have points then I would check them and make shure they are clean and gapped at .020. if that is noth the problem then it sounds like a fuel issue. Either a weak pump or a dirty carb.

SOURCE: I have a echo HC-150 it won't stay on boggs down

Hi, either the carby is flooding and requires a carby kit or the spark arrestor or outlet in the muffler is blocked. Hope this helps, regards Phil.

Gsxr cuts out

replace the fuel pump or adjust the TPS. It doesnt do it in nuetral its because it is not under a load. Put in dealer mode to check the TPS. It should read -COO... If the - is not in the middle (if its up top or on bottom) it needs to be adjusted.

My 2008 suzuki gsxr 600 stalls when it reaches 70mph and above ,when the bike slows down the engine gives a **** and comes back in operation.

Make sure your air filter is clean, check the fuel filter and tank for contaminants.
More off the wall , the rev limiter may be faulty, is it a certain speed or a given rev range that causes the shutdown?
Look at the air filter first!!
Good Luck, Marshall

Rusty Injectors

you going to have to pull the injectors out and clean them. You also better see a bout buying a type of tank coating that you pour into the tank to stop the rusting, or you are going on have this problem with it stopping up your injectors.
