SOURCE: 2005 DR 200, sat over winter. Charged battery,

Sounds like a battery problem mate, give the battery a charge and see how it goes, If it has been sitting for a while it sounds like it might be a carby problem, so clean out your air filter, give her an oil change and give the carby a clean and then try kicking her over with a fully charged battery

If the engine wont turn over, probabily you have a bad battery, a bad starter or a bad starter relay, or bad connections.

A hot engine has more compression. If the full battery power doesn't reach the starter it won't turn over...

Hi my Dr 200 s dirt trail bike will not start it has a push button instead of a kick start there is heaps of petrol in it just no spark

Check for power and ground to the starter if the is then the coil is bad. If there isn't power you need a new stator

Not charging 2004 Suzuki DR 200 SE

Start by making sure you have a fully charged battery. This sounds like. Stator issue. Check all terminals as well.

Gas starts spitting into the bottom of the air box when starting

Hi Kevin, the fuel entering your airbox is likely coming through the vacuum hose from the top of the carby. You may have a tear in the rubber diaphram or the lip has curled or squeezed, allowing fuel to enter through the hose. If your bike is running alright otherwise, this is a relatively easy/cheap fix. The carby parts are available from/through all bike dealers and complete carby's are available secondhand from dismantlers or ebay at comparitive prices to the parts. The sight below has exploded view diagrams of your bikes components with parts lists for your ease of identification.
Cheers.

Hi, i have a 1994 suzuki dr650 rse,it has noise on starting

Sounds like the starter motor clutch is worn or damaged and should be replaced.
Go to the link below and scroll down and click on STARTER CLUTCH. An exploded view diagram and part list is given. All sections of the bike are covered. The starter clutch is not a serviceable item and is replaced when faulty.
Your Yamaha dealer should freely verify the noise if your on good terms with them.
Cheers!

IV A PROBLEM WITH MY 91 SUZUKI DR 650 I JUST FITTED NEW STARTER CLUTCH AS I THOUGHT THIS WAS MY PROBLEM BUT IT ISNT,WHEN YOU HIT THE START BUTTON TO START THE BIKE THE SPROCKET BEHIND THE FLY DOESNT SEEM...

Sounds like your starter solenoid is not engaging. Try tapping it with a dead blow hammer or a hammer and block of wood (gently! Not to hard!) If it bumps over that is your problem. Also check all connections to solenoid and starter.

The whirring noise you are hearing is your starter motor but your bendix gear is not engaging.

Hope this helps!

DR 200 runs really cold. Takes about 15 minutes or so to warm up

It depends on the tempature, if its pretty chilly out yeah. Try easing the choke in slowly, and when it will idle at about half choke go aheand and take off but run the bike easy for a few minutes then close the choke.

Suspension - winter storage

If your motorcycle has a center stand, use it for long term storage. If you're not riding for several weeks and don't have a center stand, you may want to consider carefully propping up the bike using blocks. Don't do more harm than good by dropping your bike while attempting to prop it up! If done correctly, lifting your motorcycle will alleviate stress on the suspension and tires. Inflate your tires to the maximum recommended pressure will maintain their shape, since cooling temperatures will make the pressurized air contract. If the ground might potentially freeze, try to keep the tires off the ground using wood blocks.
