Good day..i hope someone's still reading this. I recently bought a tzr 250 3ma...i planned to restore it. Im done cleaning the fuel tank.replaced some fuel and vaccuum line.cleaned the carbs.i removed the spark plugs to check for spark,but there is none.hope someone can help thanks.

I would think about investing in a carb re-build kit.

Cleaning the exhaust: on the saws I've worked with it was just to loosen two bolts at the front and then the exhaust is off the saw. Clean with brake cleaning fluid and blow with compressed air, let it dry before assembling. Don't forget to clean the fine mesh at the output side underneath the lid if present (i.e the spark arrestor).

Make sure to have your carb adjusted properly afterwards.

First, check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks.

If they are o.k., then you will need to disassemble the carburetor again. Make sure the small screen in the carb. is free of debris. You should be able to see daylight through it. Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.

(NOTE: If the cleaning doesn't work, then buy a carb. kit and replace all appropriate parts.)

Yes you may need a carb kit. It is not good practice to by-pass the fuel filter. The orifice in the jet is very small.
But anyways, There Could still be a blockage inside the carb, a small leak at the manifold, or the jet is worn out.
