How do I adjust my diamondback le series clutch cable on my 2012 Street Glide? I have pulled up the chrome cover but there only appears to be 2 adjustment points, no jam nut like on a stock cable. @

A clutch cable doesn't take much to install. Who told you $600.00?? You don't have to take the trans. loose to do this. All you do is unhook the cable from pedal and unhook if from the trans. This job should only take you an hour if you've never done it before. How long has the clutch been in your car?

If you have a stock cable you need a 9/16 and a 1/2 in. wrench. about 1/2 way downn the cable there is a rubber boot. pull the rubber boot over the adjustment. Loosen the liock nut and adjust the cable so you have aprox 1/8 to 1/16 in. slack in the handle. Re tighten the lock nut and pull the rubber back over the adjustment.

Yes, there is an allen screw on the top of the stem of the handle bars.....it may also be a bolt with a head on it that can be turned with a socket or cresent wrench.
Loosen the bolt 3 or 4 complete revolutions and then wiggle the bars back and forth from side to side while pulling up. Be careful not to completely remove the screw as the piece that it is connected to will fall off and you will have to remove the bars completely to fix.

Turn the clutch adjustment bolt towards the clutch-lever surface all the way in-not too tight. Feel the lever pressure as crisp, engage the first gear, and see if the bike moves when you engage; stops when you dis-engage. Give the adjustment-bolt a couple outward turns, and see. Repeat procedure as necessary.
