Sounds like one of the intermittant jets is clogged. Need to clean the carbs.

I have two identical skis the other ski does not govern down or slow down and runs from day one at 7400 RPM this one now will only reach 6400 RPM. This troubled ski will only reach 6400 RPM whereas prior it would reach 7000
Both skis have been together every time one goes out. They were always both fueled together with 93 octane fuel. The fully functioning ski turns 7400 RPM and has since day one. When the issue ski (when new) was put in the water after the break in period would only turn 5800 RPM. Brought it back to the dealer, they said the plugs were bad. After the new plugs ski would only turn 7000 RPM and we were told the difference between the two is normal. Since then the issue ski has needed the plug changed every ten (10) hours, (seems excessive) while the other ski has had the plugs changed only once. Now with new plugs the issue ski will only turn 6400 RPM and only is throttle is pulled 2/3rds. Above 2/3rds throttle the engine bogs down.
