SOURCE: NO SPARK ON A 98 RM 125

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, test for the presence / absence of below described voltages using an analog / needle type voltmeter when starting the bike:

  • pulsating low AC voltage coming from the pickup coil;
  • pulsating voltage feeding the ignition coil.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Did you check the continuity in the spark plug wire itself? Sounds like it could be open.

The stator can be checked by using an ohm meter checking for any shorts to ground. The CCI box needs to be checked using OEM testers or substitute a known good unit for TS.

SOURCE: No Spark, No Power coming from CDI to coil

Check the wiring on the connector plugs make sure all the wires are the same color on both sides, red to red blue to blue and so on. I had the same problem After replacing a stator and just plugging it in,after two weeks a new cdi and coil i noticed there were two wires transposed.

WILL GAS TANK AND FENDERS OFF A 1998 FXDWG FIT ON A 2000 FXDWG @

Hi, Robert parts swapping is common with most motorcycles when it comes to interchangeable or compatible parts from one model with another "EXCEPT" for the CDI's they are year-make-model "SPECIFIC" the best thing to do is call your local Dealership Parts Department or a reputable independent shop. If your location is not near a shop then go online and find a parts catalogue or "FICHE" and match part numbers depending on your criteria.

2007 Harley Davidson FXDWG Dyna Wide Glide stator check @

Hi, Deeaarrggaa before testing any electrical component in the Starter Circuit it is "IMPERATIVE" that you have a fully charged battery of 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test because your battery may have 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amps causing the battery to be faulty and must be replaced especially "AGM" batteries.
1. Spark plugs in bad condition or have an improper gap or are partially fouled.
2. Spark plug cables in bad condition.
3. Loose wire/cable connection at one of the battery terminals, especially the "NEGATIVE" cable, check it at both ends, coil, or plug between ECM or ignition module.
4. Throttle controls not adjusted correctly.
5. Water or dirt in the fuel system.
6. Water or dirt in the carburetor.
7. Intake air leak.
8. Fuel tank vent hose and vapor valve plugged, or fuel line closed off, restricting fuel flow.
9. Enrichener valve inoperative.
10. Engine lubricant to heavy (winter operation).
11. Ignition is not functioning properly (possible sensor failure).
12. Faulty ignition coil.
13. Valves sticking.

HOW DO YOU REPLACE A STATOR ON A 2003 DYNA WIDE GLIDE

You need to open up the primary. You might be able to remove the rotor without pulling the inner primary. If so remove the compensator assembly and then the rotor and then undo the one use only statror screws and remove the stator,
