I have a yz 125 2001 model. if i buy excel rims from a yamaha yz 125 2008 model will they fit on my bike or has things changed since then? like will my sprocket fot onto that rim and is the axel the same ect? Thank You for your help

just measure your fork leg diameters and compare them to the yz ! you could also see if the yz fork clamp headstock bearings and steering tube will fit your bike !
Best thing to do is order one through your bike shop. Generally the threads on the crankshaft are of a particular thread size specific to Yamaha, Honda etc. and sourcing a nut from elsewhere is near impossible. They have to be balanced and are sometimes a left turning thread, and generally comform to a specific wall size for best fit on the parts. Trying to to replicate the nut would be a metter of trial and error. They are not that much more expensive than from a hardware store.
