I have the same issue with my Sangean WFR-28c. I just contacted support (through Sangean Europe site) but im still wating for an answer. If this carries on, i cannot use this radio. :(
Unhook the radios power supply or pull the fuse and memory wire or unhook the battery if you don't know which one it is leave off or unplugged for couple minuets then hook it all back up. If you need any further help please feel free to ask. Don't forget to rate my solution it is how i earn my achievements. Thanks in advance
Archer, I have read the entire PR-3DL manual and there appears no mention of a 12/24 hr setting, unlike certain other Sangean radios. The instructions for setting the alarm do not mention 'a.m.' or 'p.m.' .
This is a defect in the radio. Reportedly this issue was resolved in later vamps of production, but it still seemed to persist. We discontinued this model due to this exact reason. At this time there is no other solution and the factory can not tell us what the problem was and simply pointed to the LCD.
Remove the battery compartment door and the batteries. There should be a small hole marked "reset" under the upper battery cradle. Press (gently...until it clicks) and hold for 5 seconds. Replace batteries and try again.
