The car starts but the coil gets hot wy
Coils get hot in operation but not hot enough to burn the hand
Extra hot coils are from excessive voltage and that could be an indication of a failing ECM or failing /internal short in the coil
run the fault codes
SOURCE: no start, no spark, no signal to the coil
there is a fuse that works the battery try checking if it is still good

Most likey a bad thermactor valve is damaged and is allowing hot air to enter the pump causing it to overheat and fail. Need a lazer heat gun to see how hot it is getting.
