So I have a 2007 keeway matrix 50. I know it is 2 stroke but when I bought it it came with amsoil interceptor 2 stroke oil but that is $15 a bottle. Can I just run a ace or Home Depot brand 2 stroke oil through it or do I have to keep with the full synthetic

It also mixes the oil so I add oil to one compartment and gas to another

Any 2 stroke oil correctly mixed should work. It may smoke a little more that way, but it won't hurt it.

SOURCE: QRS-15 CP Rotoray screw.

G'day.
I guess only if the ISO 68 oil is also a full synthetic- otherwise no.
I would not mix them.
I would want to change all the oil & ALL the filters (including the seperator) before switching between a mineral & synthetic oil.

So it would be much safer/better to top up with the same oil until the next scheduled service & then switch to the better synthetic oil.

I hope this helped(I ran a compressor repair buisness in Sydney for 10 yrs)
Kind regards Andrew Porrelli

SOURCE: Oil

In many bikes the clutch work in oil and if you use an very good oil like sintetics with may be can cause a slipage clutch not when it is a new one but whne it have an use inportant the discs are more thin and the antifriccion oil can cause slipage more in the better oils like sintethics.

SOURCE: I'm running an old Echo300E with 40:1 synthetic

not at all, running it richer is always better than running leaner for peace of mind the engine is getting good lubrication.

Testimonial: "Thanks, I thought so. It runs fine except that I have to throttle down every 20 minutes and idle for a few minutes before it will give me RPMs again."

If Harley would not make their own line of Synthetic oil if it was bad for a Harley. I use Mobile one on my 2002 Wide Glide and never have had an issue with it.

Can you use any other oil if I don't have 2 stroke oil I have 4 stroke lawn motor and normal car

If its a two stroke mower it meeds 2 stroke gas. Fairly cheap for little oil bottle and a gallon of gas. Most two cycles use a 50:1 ratio.

While the two cycle oil has it on the back of the bottle but with my 1998 I would pure a bottle in it or depin on how much gas you got I like my gas kind of a blue tint

I have a 2007 keeway f-act 50. it has developed a proble, its starts fine but when i pull the accelorator the bike goes up to around 7000 rpm and the engine starts to cut out. i have checked the HT lead...

I will recomend you to clean the carburetor and change the spark plug. If the spark plug is bad it might get problems to set fire to the gas. so change it and you might get your motorcycle working again. Good Luck.

The person I bought it off said it takes 50 to 1 don't know how to measure that

50 to 1 means that for every 1 unit of (2 Stroke) oil you use 50 of the same units of petrol. Most 2 stroke oil bottles have a measure on the side which you use to measure how much oil you're using so for 5 Litres of petrol (approx 1 gallon) you would use 100ml of oil.

50 to 1 which is usually written as 50:1 is a very light mix. Husqvarna saws use 40:1. You need to use good quality 2 stroke oil from tool hire shops rather than the cheaper stuff you can buy at petrol service stations. Some makes of 2 stroke oil, like Stihl, have a measuring cup on them with ratios marked on the side. To fill them you take the cap off the measuring cup and fill to the mark at 50:1 by squeezing the oil bottle. Then pour that into 5 litres of petrol. You can also buy mixing bottles in some hardware stores with ratios marked on them. You fill the oil up to the mark 50:1 and then fill it up with petrol to get the right mix.

2 stroke engine smokes. how do you adjust the fuel/oil mixture?

The thing with two strokes is that they smoke a bit under normal operation, and they smoke like mad if they haven't really been run for a period of time, I would advise you to run it for a while and see if that helps.

You should not need to adjust the mixture settings at all.

Hope this helps
