Your in luck... You can route fuel lines any way you want just keep them clear of heat sources and any where they may kink. If need be, you can even get longer hose to re-route. Keep it as short as possible and you'll be fine.

Keep in mind that the Fz-750 yam has a preformed fuel line that out-puts from the fuelvalve to the pump,,If you use a standard fuelhose in place of the preformed hose you will probally get a kincked line.,,,I Own and Ride a 86 Fz-750

1990 Yamaha FZ 750 how do i find where the fuel line is at and how do i repair it? A fuel line from the fuel pump is off and i dont know where it goes, how do i locate the place where it goes to repair it?

When I repainted my bike and removed the tank, there were 3 connections under the tank itself. 1 the fuel line, 2 the gas gauge, and 3 the venti assume.

I just bought an 1986 FZ 750. I need parts

Just restored a yammy and found wemoto site excellent. Just enter wemoto/yamaha or wemoto.com into search engine and go from there. Secondhand stuff is generally ebay or wrecking depots/warehouses.
Cheers.

Bike starts and while not under a load it revs up

Sounds like a fuel problem. empty the gas tank and check for pieces of metal or junk.....clean the petcock, and check the fuel filter(s). this should take care of it.

Yamaha FZ 750 FM

It sounds like the idle screw is not set right., but if your going to clean the carbs anywyas. Clean them, sync them and see how she runs, if still doing the same thing the idle screw needs to be adjusted. The RPMs should be between 800 to 1200 while idling. If your bike is an older on it will most likely sit around the 1200 rpm at idle.
